Aloha! I've been an avid 4x4 driver and camper for most of my life. I've spent years researching and driving different off road vehicles that are the best for camping. After tons of research and experience, I finally came across the 7.3 diesel Ford Excursion. It's been so much fun testing it out and building it to be the ultimate adventuremobile. I'm super easy going and I love to explore and share what I find.

BURT! If you have any plans to enjoy or explore the Big Island outside the box of resorts and highways then BURT is the way to go. We are a family of 5 and we cant's thank Mitchell and his BURT enough for the hospitality. We had our 3 girls sleep in the back each night on a full size queen air mattress while my wife and I slept in the super nice, quick, and easy to set up tent provided by Mitchell. You'll see I gave BURT 4 starts on mechanical and that's only because if 5 stars is perfect then let's just say BURT is close for a vehicle like this but quite. We rented the kitchen box and some other items from Mitchell so we didn't have to fly them over from Oahu and everything was better than we had hoped. We had a fantastic time camping all over the island and in places we couldn't have without BURT. Mahalo Nui Loa Mitchell and BURT!

This beast can go pretty much anywhere! The back fits a blow up queen bed comfortably and still has room for bags and the cooler. The steering column is a little looser than some cars, but you get used to it after a bit. We rented this for 5 days and it was a perfect way to explore the island.

We are a german couple and we have rented the truck for a week. It was an amazing trip and Mitchell helped us a lot with finding good places to go and what to do on the island. The truck is incredible hugh but also easy to drive. If you have a sleeping bag and an air matress you can also camp in the truck very comfortable. There is more than enough space to lay in the back. We definitly want to come back!
