*We pick up from Kailua-Kona International Airport, give you a short walk-thru of the vehicle and use of equipment. Pick-ups from hotels or other accommodations may be easily arranged.* Drop off is easy! Just park rig at airport parking and put key in lockbox.*Favorite camping areas on the island and highlights to see.-Kohanaiki Beach Park- Camp right on the white sand beach. Recommend for first night of camping. Close to downtown Kona, close to airport, stores, and Costco. Great for surfing and great hike to ancient village, Ala Kahakai trail.-Ho'okena Beach Park-South of Kona in coffee country also known as Captain Cook. 2 best snorkeling spots on island, two step beach and Kealakekua Bay good for dolphin watching in the morning. Nice hike to the bay, but can take kayak or boat tour. Visit peaceful Pu'uhonua O' National Park also known as city of refuge.-Punalu'u Beach Park- located on southeast Kau coast, south of Hilo, Punalu'u is Hawaii's most famous black sand beach. Enjoy watching endangered Hawksbill sea turtles layout, hike, snorkel, or swim. Visit Papakōlea green sands beach 1 of 2 in the world or cliff dive off a 50 ft cliff in South Point. Buy fresh roasted locally grown coffee at the Kau coffee mill.-Namakanipaio and Kulanaokuaiki Campgrounds- located in Volcanoes National park, south of Hilo. Enjoy crater hike, chain of craters scenic drive, see new 2017/18 lava flow, or Mauna Load scenic drive. Take beautiful Kapoho Kalapana scenic drive to see newly formed black sand beaches, Kaimu and Pohoiki.-Laupahoehoe Point -located North of Hilo. Enjoy exploring Hilo, take a drive on Hilo Bay Banyan drive exploring coconut island. Great for paddle boarding, picnic, 20ft tower jumping. Wander the Queen Liliuokalani Gardens. Drive the famous, lush 4 mile Pepe'ekeo scenic drive. Visit Rainbow falls, Akaki Falls, or many along the roadside. Take a scenic drive on old Mamalohoa highway. Visit Waipio valley and hike down to black sand beach, river, and waterfall.-Samuel M. Spencer Beach Park- located on northwest coast, north of Kona. Beautiful white sand beach great for swimming and paddle boarding. Hike to Puukohola Heiau right off of campgrounds. Explore Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, enjoy hikes, sunset and amazing stargazing. Take scenic drive through Kohala mountains, visiting the shops in Hawi. Hike down Pololu Valley and enjoy black sands beach and rope swings. Aloha, We want you to have fun, but here are a few things to keep in mind while enjoying the island to keep you and the vehicles safe on your adventure. *Only camp in designated camping areas. Just like the mainland, camping is designated and requires a printed permit and fees. *Pre-book camping areas before coming to the island. Many campgrounds will be booked up and some holidays they may close, so please have a loose itinerary of your stay provided for us. I will provide camping information for you to choose from on the island. *No smoking, vaping, or 420 in or around vehicles and tents. Deposit will not be returned. *Do not drink or do drugs while operating vehicle. *No pets unless registered service animal. *Our vehicles are overloading vehicles only, no off-roading. *Stay on public highways, do not enter private roads, "kapu roads" or minimum maintenance roads. *Do not take plug out of cooler. *Do not climb on roof, front of car, or tailgate. Footpegs are provided for your assistance on the vehicle. *Do not off road or drive down to Green sands, Maklawena, or Waipio Valley. Tow trucks are not accessible to the area, you will not be able to get out, and insurance will not cover these areas. You may visit these beautiful sites with the rentals in the following. Again insurance does not apply in these areas, do not attempt to take the vehicle to them. -Green sands: drive to first parking lot. There are trucks that will take you out for $20 or you can do the 2 mile hike to get there. - Maklawena: park in beach parking lot or by the street and hike down to see the secret beach. -Waipio Valley: Do not take vehicle down the steep road even though paved. Park in parking lot and hike down, or ride the shuttle. *Please dispose of garbage in designated places. Do not litter and leave campsite clean. *Keys are your responsibility when we hand them over.
