- This unit can be towed with a 1/2 ton PU with heavy duty suspension. A 3/4 ton is preferred. That said, I have towed this unit through the mountains of Colorado with a 1/2 ton Tundra just fine but I did have heavy duty suspension and 80 psi tires.
