This van is adventure ready! Whether you are flying in from out of town or you are a SoCal local looking for an outdoor excursion, all you need are your clothes, toiletries and a quick trip to the grocery store. Everything else is included. Plus, with a Dometic air conditioner (electric hookup required) and propane furnace, you’re equipped for any climate. At just over 19 and a half feet long, it is a lot easier to drive than most RVs and it fits in a standard parking spot. The backup camera makes maneuvering a breeze.Unlike most vans this size, it has a spacious 5 cu. ft. refrigerator, an indoor shower and flushable toilet (not a cassette toilet that needs to be taken out and emptied into a public toilet). When an electric hookup is available, there is a 30 amp shore power line with a 15 amp adapter so you can stay powered up at the campground/RV park or you can just plug into a household outlet. There are 110v, USB, and 12v outlets throughout the interior to power up/charge your gadgets. When boondocking (no electric hookup), you will get 1-2 days of battery power for the 12v and USB outlets. There is a second alternator that charges the house batteries while the engine is running. This acts like a generator does in other RVs, but since it just needs the engine to idle, you don’t have to worry about a loud generator disrupting the quiet of nature. Idling the engine will charge the house battery ad give you power to the regular household 110v outlets and appliances. There is also a 100W solar panel to help maintain battery levels when the sun is out. What's included:General:
- Backup camera
- Forward facing power sofa - folds down to make a short queen size bed (72" long)
- 24” smart TV

What's includedSee above for complete list of amenities. You'll just need your clothes, toiletries and groceries ... and maybe and extra pillow or two. Two throw pillows and two regular pillows are provided.RecommendationsI would recommend the following which are all within five hours of LA: Joshua Tree National Park, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Green Valley Lake, Idyllwild, Mountain High, Pismo Beach, Big Sur, Las VegasOther things to noteNo off-roading. The van is two wheel drive and doesn't have the power or ground clearance to go on uneven terrain. Relatively flat unmaintained roads and gravel is fine.In addition to a walk through during pickup, there is a detailed user guide in the van and a YouTube video showing everything you'll need to know about how to operate everything.Availability of delivery varies based on schedule.**This rental is festival friendly except for Burning Man due to lack of insurance coverage.**

Had a wonderful trip in this fantastic van! Everything as described and better. It's super well equipped, comfy, reliable, and with lots of charm. Great communication with the host, and we really appreciated Keith being flexible with the return time when we hit holiday traffic. Would love to rent it again, thanks Keith!

Awesome experience. The van was absolutely perfect for our trip. The van had everything we needed, and we didn't run into a single issue. Keith was an excellent host. He was extremely communicative, accessible, and flexible. The info he provided in advance of the trip was so thorough, we didn't need to reach out to him much, but he was readily available anytime we did have a question. We would 100% rent with Keith again. Thank you!

Another Five star review for Keith and the Van. The van was exactly as described, and made a lovely home for a rainy trip through central CA. Keith was a great communicator from the very first moment that we contacted him on Outdoorsy, always quick to respond and more than willing to work with us to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. The van came with a full user manual AND a video recorded by Keith (with chapter markers!) not just explaining but actually showing where everything in the van is located and how to do just about any van-related task you might find yourself needing to do. We really appreciated this touch. The van itself is quite nice, we really enjoyed watching movies in the cozy backseat while it rained outside. It’s big but drives surprisingly well. No issues on the freeway, parking and backing up did take some getting used to though. Overall, I can’t imagine any way that our experience with the van (and Keith) could have been better. Highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

How early can I pickup? How late can I drop off?

A.

I can be flexible with pickup and drop off times as long as the van isn't coming back from a booking the day before or going out the day after. Regular pickup time is 3:00 PM and drop off is 11:00 AM. I offer a two hour window from those times. Outside of that window we can arrange an early pickup or late drop off for a fee.

Q.

Can I run the house air conditioner when camping off-grid?

A.

You really need to have an electric hookup to run the house air conditioning. When camping off-grid (no hookup), you could idle the engine to run the house AC for short periods of time, but you run the risk of overheating the engine. You would really have to rely on the roof vent fan and open windows to stay cool.

Q.

Can I leave my car parked in your neighborhood during my trip?

A.

You can leave your car parked in my neighborhood for 3-4 days without issue. There is a 72 hour parking limit, but it's rarely enforced. For longer trips, I would recommend getting a ride to pickup. Or I have also had guests leave their car keys with me. I am happy to move your car every 3-4 days if that is your only option.

I have two boxer dogs, Josey (Wales) and (Col. Tom) Parker. Traveling in the van is their favorite thing.
