The Great Outdoors

The Ocean City boardwalk is just five miles from the campground and, according to USA Today, is one of the nation’s best boardwalks for food. There are several ways to check out the sights along this classic wooden boardwalk. Grab a bike, go for a stroll, or hop aboard the boardwalk tram. If you’re looking for a thrill, the Ferris wheel, roller coaster, or other amusement rides might do the trick. Hungry? Try one of Maryland’s delectable crab cakes or bite into a slice of cheesy pizza. For dessert, try some hand-scooped ice cream, freshly popped popcorn, or a warm funnel cake. Or have one of each. No judgment here. You’re on vacation.Soak up the sun at Assateague State Park when you book a Berlin campervan rental. The park is situated on a barrier island that’s bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Sinepuxent Bay to the west. When you come to the park, you can explore secluded coves via kayak, collect seashells on the shore, or enjoy a hike across the barrier island. While you’re out, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for deer, waterfowl, and the island’s wild horses. The Pocomoke River originates in the Great Cypress Swamp of Delaware and snakes through the Berlin, Maryland area. In fact, the word Pocomoke means “black water.” The state park of the same name is divided into two sections. The Shad Landing area in Snow Hill is on the south side of the Pocomoke River, and the Milburn Landing area is on the north side in Pocomoke City. That park provides visitors with the chance of enjoying an array of outdoor and tourist activities. Explore miles of hiking trails, go fishing or boating, or try your luck at hunting.

Exploring the City

Try to strike it rich at the nearby casino. The quaint casino has numerous slot machines, several table games, and video poker. If you’re into horseracing, the casino hosts a racing simulcast. After a day of gaming, if you’ve worked up an appetite, there are several dining options to consider. The restaurant has delicious options like the Eastern Shore Burger and Boardwalk fries. Grab a beer from the pub, or during live racing, you can dine while you watch.Looking for something a bit more family-friendly than a casino? The amusement park in West Ocean City might be just the thing. The 10-acre theme park has go-karts, a miniature golf course, and a rock-climbing wall. Younger kids will love the carousel while those seeking something a little more intense can check out the Frog Hopper and the Wacky Worm Roller Coaster. During the warmer months, ride around on the bumper boats while drenching your friends. Afterward, empty your pocket change at the arcade or grab a bite from the snack bar.Something else to check out when you book an RV in Worcester County is Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Lose yourself in the mirror maze or navigate through a web of lasers in the “Impossible LazeRace.” The exhibits are unique, odd, and, at times, disturbing. From shrunken heads to bizarre artwork and more in between, you will leave amazed when you visit Ripley’s “odditorium.”

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
