Carolina Country Campground is located in Salisbury, NC, which sits in the east-central portion of this rather large state. This town is fairly small, but it is situated amongst several larger cities. These include Winston-Salem, at around 40 miles to the north, and Greensboro at around 50 miles to the northeast. The Charlotte metropolitan area is also around 40 miles to the southwest.Carolina Country Campground is situated in the wooded foothills of the nearby Appalachian Mountains. It offers full hookups and pull-thru, shaded campsites. They are nestled amongst the lodgepole pines that are common to the area. There is also a camp store on-site, as well as bathrooms, showers, and a laundry facility. The park provides pool access, a pond for paddle boating and fishing, and a small petting zoo complete with llamas and goats. WiFi is also available for campers, and there is a playground for the kids, a mini-golf course, game courts, and pets are welcome, as well.With a stay at this family-friendly campground in eastern North Carolina, you should have no trouble finding any services you may need. The Great Outdoors

Motorhome camping at the Carolina Country Campground makes it easy to engage in many different activities. High Rock Lake is located around 20 miles to the east of the park. This is a large body of water with many fingers and waterways branching off of it. These are a perfect place to explore with a kayak or canoe. Boating and fishing are also popular here, and there are swimming spots located along the lake's shores. This is also a great place to view local wildlife, and there are scenic spots to enjoy a picnic lunch!Boon's Cave Park is in Lexington, around 15 miles north of town. At Boon's Cave Park, you will find biking and hiking trails through the local woods. As the park's name would suggest, there are several small caves present that can be explored, as well. There is also a river within the park boundaries where fishing and paddle sports can be enjoyed. There are picnic facilities, as well, and there is a disc golf course on-site.The North Carolina Zoo is in Asheboro. This is a large zoo that features all sorts of exotic animals, many that are not native to North America. The critters range from polar bears to zebras and everything in between. If you're there are the right time; you may be able to watch certain animals being fed. Some may even be available for petting. Special events are held here at various times of the year, such as during Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.

Exploring the Area

This indoor park is open throughout the year and offers varying attractions, including water slides, a wave pool, a mini-golf course, and a ropes course.
