The Great Outdoors

There are some beautiful state parks located near Wells Campground, and RV campers will undoubtedly want to explore Wells State Park. This state park connects on to the campground and contains over 650 acres of woodlands and sandy beaches along Lake Michigan. There are over three miles of sandy beaches at the park, making this a popular location for locals and travelers looking to swim, fish, kayak, and more. There's also a large picnic area adjacent to the beach, which is perfect for a lakeside lunch. Hikers will love walking up and down the sandy beach, and during the winter, the park's trails are ideal for snowshoeing and skiing.As this campground is located close to the Wisconsin state line, it's well worth visiting some of the parks in Wisconsin. One of the most interesting parks nearby is the Copper Culture State Park. This park consists of over 40 acres of woodlands along the Oconto River and is unique due to the presence of an Old Copper Complex cemetery. This cemetery belonged to native people who lived in the area between 4000 and 2000 B.C. As well as exploring the park's history, you may want to try some watersports along the Oconto River, with activities that include fishing, kayaking, and swimming. There's also a gentle hiking trail that leads along the river if you're looking for a peaceful riverside stroll.Another state park worth visiting during your trip with a motorhome rental near Menominee is Governor Thompson State Park. This park covers over 2,800 acres of dense woods and rocky terrain surrounding the Cauldron Falls Reservoir. This park is ideal for avid hikers, with over 16 miles of trails that lead along the reservoir and through some rugged landscape. There are over six miles of shoreline to explore, making this ideal for a peaceful day on your boat or for taking a refreshing freshwater dip. Fishing is another popular pastime, and anglers can expect to catch bass, crappie, and bluegill in the Cauldron Falls Reservoir.

Menominee campers will want to explore the nearest big city, Green Bay. This bayside city is full of fun attractions, and you'll find more than enough activities to keep the whole family entertained. The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park is one of Green Bay's most popular attractions and features hundreds of exotic animals, meticulously laid out across 40 acres. Some of the highlights of the zoo's collection include snow leopards, Japanese snow macaques, and African lions. As well as all these critters, the zoo features an adventure park, where thrill-seekers can try challenging treetop obstacle courses and ziplining.Alternatively, you may be looking to explore some of Green Bay's best outdoor areas. The Green Bay Botanical Garden covers 50 acres of beautiful gardens, exotic flora, and ornamental greenhouses containing amazing floral displays. Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
