Coyote RV Park and Campground is located just outside the small town of Stephenson, Michigan. The campground is a short drive from the Menominee River and the Wisconsin border. It is also a short drive from the shores of Green Bay and Lake Michigan and is surrounded by beautiful state forests. The nearest cities are Green Bay, which is a 90-minute drive away, and Milwaukee, which is within three hours' driving distance. This secluded RV campground is an ideal base camp to explore Michigan's upper peninsula.Campsites at Coyote RV Park and Campground have water and electric hookups, and some campsites have septic hookups as well. Pull-through sites are available to accommodate large RVs. There is a water station and a dump station, as well as a well-maintained shower house with restrooms. The campground also has a playground, badminton, volleyball, and horseshoes to keep the whole family entertained. There is also a pavilion for large groups, as well as an indoor recreation hall for cold or rainy days. This campground is pet-friendly, too.

The Great Outdoors

RV camping at Coyote RV Park and Campground is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery that northern Michigan has to offer. There are lots of excellent places to enjoy water sports nearby. The closest bodies of water are the Shakey Lakes, west of the campground. This group of small lakes is a very popular fishing destination. There is a variety of fish species in these lakes, including largemouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, sunfish, crappie, and more. There are boat launches on-site, or you can fish from the shore. You can also opt to go swimming in the lakes during the summer. While camping in an RV in this area, you can also go hiking or even enjoy an extensive ATV trail system in the surrounding area.The Menominee River is another popular destination for water sports that's easily accessible when you rent an RV in this area. The gently flowing river is a hotspot for canoeing, and it's also a popular destination for larger boats. There is a wide range of fish species here, including smallmouth bass, pike, and walleye. You can also drive east of your campsite at Coyote RV Park and Campground to go fishing on the shores of Lake Michigan. There are several boat launches along the shore, as well as beaches that are ideal for swimming or picnics. If you enjoy water skiing, Lake Michigan is an ideal place for that too.North of the campground, you'll find the Escanaba River State Forest. If you enjoy hunting, this is one of the most convenient places to do so when you book an RV in Menominee County. Within the state forest, there is a vast expanse of public land where you can hunt for deer, small game, turkey, and more - just be sure to follow the state regulations for hunting in the area. This forest is also home to several miles of ATV trails and hiking trails where you can really take in the wildlife.

Exploring The Area

Although Coyote RV Park and Campground is in the countryside, it is just outside of the town of Stephenson, which makes RV camping here very convenient. In town, you'll find a gas station, grocery store, and bank, as well as several brewpubs and a pizza restaurant if you get hungry. There's also a library with WiFi, a bait and tackle shop where you can pick up fishing supplies, and a laundromat. For entertainment, there is a local movie theater, a golf course, and local farmers' markets. The DeYoung Family Zoo is a short drive away in the town of Wallace and is home to animals from around the world.The city of Green Bay is an easy day trip while camping in an RV at Coyote RV Park and Campground. There are fun things to do here in every season. The Bay Beach Amusement Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is located right on the water and is a very popular attraction in the summer. Green Bay is also home to the NFL's Green Bay Packers football team, and you can visit the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and Museum while you're here. Other notable attractions include the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park, Green Bay Botanical Garden, the National Railroad Museum, and the Heritage Hill State Park. The downtown area is home to many art galleries, music venues, and restaurants, many with views of Lake Superior. There are also several independent shopping districts in Green Bay for those looking for a bit of retail therapy.

What type of RV should I choose?

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
