The closest town to Salmon Lake Campground is Seeley Lake, on the fringes of Flathead National Forest. There are a few places to grab a meal or shop in the small town, and one of its main attractions is the Seeley Lake Historical Museum. Initially a horse barn built in the 1920s, the Seeley Lake Historical Museum was taken apart, moved, and reassembled a half-mile away from its original location. The museum covers a wide range of topics, like cabin fever cures, historic fires that plagued the area, and the pioneers who first made it their home.Missoula is another fabulous place to visit for more city sights, restaurants, breweries, art galleries, farmers' markets, and historic sites like the Garnet Ghost Town. The Montana Natural History Center and the Fort Missoula Museum both cover different aspects of history in Montana. Fort Missoula Museum is housed in one of the first forts in the region, with displays featuring old train cars, military regiments, and other pieces of the Old West.The Missoula Art Museum will please art lovers, with a dazzling array of over 2,000 pieces on display. This non-profit museum is found in a modern building, with permanent galleries and guest exhibitions cycling in to keep things fresh for repeat visitors. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? How does check-in work?

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
