Discover Cabela's RV Park Campground

The well-known outdoor retail chain Cabela's features an RV park and campground as part of their flagship store in Sidney, Nebraska; it's a great place to park your motorhome rental. The campground is a 90-minute drive from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and a three-hour drive from Denver, Colorado. RV camping here offers several convenient amenities, and you'll also have access to Cabela's full range of outdoor gear and supplies. Campsites at Cabela's RV Park Campground offer full hookups or electric-only options, water, a dump station, and cable TV. Each site also has a picnic table and barbecue grill outside.

There are several communal amenities available on-site as well. There are wheelchair-accessible restrooms, private showers, and a laundry room. There is also a game room and a children's playground. The campground is family-friendly, although small children must be accompanied in communal areas. The campground welcomes horses and other pets, and there is a pet exercise area, kennels, and horse corrals that you can use to keep your animals comfortable and secure.

The Great Outdoors

There are several outdoor attractions just a short drive away from Cabela's. The Pawnee National Grassland is southwest of Sidney across the Colorado border. This preserved grassland area has stunning buttes worth bringing your camera for, and hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. It is also an extremely well-known area for bird watching, and you will encounter many different species of birds as you explore the area.

To the east of the city, Lake Mcconaughy State Recreation Area provides opportunities for water sports. It is a very popular destination for boating and swimming and has clean, sandy beaches and over 100 miles of shoreline. Fishing is also available in the lake, with three fishing stations and several boat ramps as well. Walleye, catfish, pike, and bass are just a few of the species that live in the lake. For those who enjoy hunting, the Clear Creek State Waterfowl Management Area is located just west of the lake.

In the town of Sidney, Legion Park is a beautiful green space with water features. It's an ideal place to spend time outside on a nice day, particularly if you have kids. From the park, you can access the Deadwood walking and biking trail. It is roughly four and a half miles long and runs east to west through the city. The rolling hills and bluffs in the area make it ideal terrain for a gentle bike ride or stroll. When you book an RV in Cheyenne County, you'll have plenty of options for nearby trails.

Exploring The Area

There are several restaurants to choose from near Cabela's as well as on Lincoln Highway, the town's main street.
