Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Timing for pickup and return can be flexible, the only request we have is that we both stick close to what is arranged.
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Yes, the simple answer is to prepare for the trip by using the resources we'll send you. If you've never driven a large RV before the driving tips as recommended by multiple experts will help you quickly get comfortable handling such a long and wide vehicle. Pro Tip! Give yourself extra time - by allowing an extra 30% to 40% time compared to a normal vehicle trip duration you'll take the pressure off of yourself and enjoy the traveling portion more.
Q.
How do I know what is included with the RV with my trip?
A.
As we've rented RV's before we had the same questions. Not to worry - we provide a checklist for you of almost everything you would want to bring on a trip, and we've gone through the checklist and marked off all of those items that we already include with the rental. From there its a simple matter of printing off the list and determining what of the remaining items you need to bring to be most comfortable. See example checklist in the photos section (items checked off are included).
Q.
How hard is this big RV to drive?
A.
Well I've been relatively new to driving such a machine, and I would say that you get used to driving this RV rather quickly. I wouldn't encourage being too comfortable, as it's good to stay vigilant in maneuvering safely, but it handles highway speeds well, accelerates a bit slow, but overall has very good visibility. The steering stabilizer takes a lot of strain out of handling, and we are always working on upgrading the suspension to make the ride and handling as enjoyable as possible.
