Glen Iris Inn is now remodeled and serves as a hotel. The inn is part of the state park and a must-see for anyone interested in architecture or local history.

Letchworth State Park is also the resting place of Mary Jemison, who has quite an extraordinary story. In 1758, French soldiers captured Jemison and some of her family members. Jemison, later nicknamed “The Old White Woman of the Genesee,” was then sold to a Seneca tribe and lived much of her life with them.
