Roundup Lake Campground is in northeast Ohio, only about 45 minutes' drive from Cleveland and Lake Erie. It is located in Mantua, on the shore of Round-Up Lake, right off Twinsburg Warren Road. Some of the most beautiful natural areas in Ohio are close to this RV campground, and you can have an amazing time enjoying outdoor recreational activities when staying here.This family-friendly Mantua campground offers full hookups, big rig access, cabin rentals, and tent camping sites. There is a sandy beach on the lake where you can enjoy swimming, relaxing, picnicking, and boating. Here you will find kayak, rowboat, and canoe rentals as well. The park has several playgrounds for kids, and also a swimming pool. Some of the amenities in the park include a laundry room, restrooms, showers, a game room, and a camp store.Roundup Lake Campground is pet-friendly and has a dog park and a lot of space for your pets to play. Some of the activities you can enjoy here include volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and other sports. The campground organizes activities like Friday Movie Night, Saturday Wagon Rides, and others. The town of Mantua is just a few miles from the campground. It has lots of city conveniences like gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. The Great Outdoors

LaDue Public Hunting Area is a perfect place to visit if you like hunting and fishing. It is less than ten minutes' drive from the campsites at Roundup Lake Campground, and it consists of a forested park and a lake. Here you can hunt deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, and more. At the La Due Reservoir, fishing and boating are popular activities. Here you can find walleye, largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, crappies, and channel catfish. Other recreational opportunities include hiking and wildlife watching.Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve is approximately 15 minutes' drive west of the campground. This beautiful natural area has numerous lakes, ponds, and marshes. It is an important habitat for many fish species and small animals like beavers. You can enjoy scenic picnicking areas, hiking trails, and fishing in this park. The most beautiful walking trail in the park is a half-mile path that circles the Seven Ponds area. In the park, you can also enjoy observation decks, wildflowers, wildlife watching, and nature observing.Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a beautiful natural park, only half an hour's drive west of the Roundup Lake Campground campsites. The terrain mostly consists of woodlands, farmlands, and rolling hills, and it is a perfect getaway from busy city life. Here you will find more than 125 miles of hiking trails. Some of the trails are easily accessible to all visitors, but others are more difficult. The most popular trail and the easiest is the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The park is habitat to many animals, including deer, mink, squirrels, coyotes, and more. Some of the outdoor activities you can enjoy here include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, bicycling, and picnicking. You can also visit the park in the wintertime and try numerous winter sports like cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and more. Golfing, canoeing, and kayaking are other favorite pastimes here.

Exploring the City

When you rent an RV in Portage County, there are many natural and cultural attractions worth visiting. Century Village Museum is an interesting historical museum located in the city of Burton. The museum complex consists of several buildings, a park, and outdoor and indoor exhibits that you can see on your own or with a guided tour. Here you can learn about pioneer life, the history of the Civil War in the area, and the general history of the county.The Kent State University Museum in Kent is one of the most prominent museums in this part of Ohio. The museum has an incredible collection of decorative art. Here you can see historical and contemporary works of fashion and learn about the history of fashion and art. Other artworks you can see here feature glass, furniture, textiles, paintings, and more. Some of the exhibits to check out include Ohio Quilts, Wearing Justice, Fashion of the '60s and '70s, and Fashion Timeline.In the city of Akron, you can visit the Akron Zoo. This beautiful zoo has different exhibits, like Wild Prairie, Wild Asia, Komodo Kingdom, and others. Some of the numerous animals living here include African lions, alpacas, golden lion tamarins, grizzly bears, and Sumatran tigers. The zoo offers many tours, programs, and field trips. Unique experiences you can have here include Trainer for a Day, Behind the Scenes Tour, Zoo Veterinarian for a Day, and Keeper for a Day.

What type of RV should I choose?

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
