The Great Outdoors

RV camping at Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort will make it easy for you to engage in a wide range of outdoor activities. Grand Lake State Park is found near the campground. Numerous outdoor recreation options are available here, including hiking, campsites, picnic facilities, and water sports. The park sits on the shores of the lake, so it offers easy access to that body of water as well.Grand Lake O'the Cherokees is situated in a hilly portion of this stereotypically, flat state, as this region of Oklahoma actually comprises a bit of the hills that form the Ozarks. This means it is more forested, with more varying terrain than much of the Great Plains. All sorts of water sports can be enjoyed here, from boating, fishing, boat tours, and swimming spots. The many fingers and waterways that branch off this body of water are perfect to be explored by a paddle-driven boat.Har-Ber Village is located in Grove, which is situated on the eastern side of the lake. Here visitors can tour a town that was built to resemble what a pioneer community would have looked like in the late 1800s and early 1900s when this area was first settled. This portion of the site is only open during the warmer months. However, there is also a nature trail on-site that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Exploring the Area

Book an RV in Craig County, and you will find yourself surrounded by activities the whole family will enjoy. The Pensacola Dam is in Disney, OK, a short five miles from the campground. It is known as one of the world's longest multiple arch dams. It was built on the Neosho River and forms the Grand Lake. There is an education center here that highlights the workings of this hydroelectric dam, as well as how it was constructed. Guided tours are even available at given times. RV camping at this campground will make it easy to reach all the interesting attractions found nearby. The Eastern Trails Museum is located in Vinita. The museum is housed in an old Coca-Cola bottling plant, and the history of the local area is featured here. Exhibits give examples of townsites such as an old general store, and they describe the American Indian cultures that lived in the local region. Other nearby, historical sites are discussed, including a Civil War battlefield and the famous Route 66. There is also a map available of historic homes in the local area.Speaking of Route 66, portions of this acclaimed road, also called the Mother Road, run near the campground. This historical route was one of the main ways to travel to and through the Western US before interstates became widespread. Museums, diners, and old hotels can be found along its length that highlight what it would have looked like during its heyday. When you've been looking for a great place to vacation, that allows for scenic views and recreational activities in abundance, consider a campsite at Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort. Take a hike at a local park, go boating on the lake, or take a drive on a famous road. Check out a campervan rental near here and enjoy exploring the Sooner State.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
