Overall the experience was good. I am sure it wasn't easy with our large group and all the campers we rented. I saw the customer service Garvin's gave to the other campers in our group and they were helpful and accomodating when one of our group had an issue. The camper we chose was definitely an older model. It was however the only one left to rent that was larger. The musty smell may have been from the age of the camper but also it could have been cleaner. When sweeping the carpet area, a lot of white pet hair came up, the toilet was a bit dirty and leftover food was left in the cabinets from previous renters (3 large bags of snack/chips). Also the linoleum tile area was beginning to pull up. We duct taped over some of the areas so we didn't make it any worse as we came in and out of the camper but removed the tape when we cleaned up. Also the table was wobbly because the screw was coming out but it wasn't a huge deal. We just screwed it back in tighter. There was one of the blinds that wouldn't fold up but we just used a curtain rod we found under the couch to help keep them up and open. Again not a huge deal. When we first arrived, the camper was not stabilized but an employee came back shortly after because he had forgotten to do so. I think because our family had rented so many campers, they may have felt a little overwhelmed. I would have like better instructions on the toilet deodorizer, locking up, leaving, etc. We only knew to put the keys in the cabinet from the other campers in our group. Like I said, we had a large group and our camper was one of the first to arrive so I'm sure they were feeling over whelmed with having to get them all there in a timely matter. Also, we were not able to close the awning or sides as we must've ran out of battery at the very end of the trip but we told the employees who were picking up and they said they would take care of it. But overall, we enjoyed renting from Garvins as the process itself was easy and they seemed very friendly and helpful. If we rent again, we will be sure to find a newer camper :-).

Hello...very disappointing experience. In what we were thinking was an upgraded trailer from our original booking turned out to be far from an upgrade and borderline unusable during inclement weather. Our experience started as soon as we arrived at the campsite and heard an alarm sounding inside the unit. Once I opened the door the strong smell of propane gas was evident. I proceeded to look around the unit and noticed one of the burners on the stove was on. Once I turned off it was while before we could settle in. When the rain began to fall we noticed that the mattress in the master area was soaked due to a large water leak. So, we were forced to sleep in the dining area the entire trip. In fact, the fold out couch was so unstable that I was forced to sleep on the floor. Other water leaks begin to pop up including just above the dining table and one of the AC vents near the kitchen had a slow drip. Although you were accommodating with bringing up dry sheets etc., our overall experience really elevated our stress level and provided for a disappointing vacation. Finally, I'm really disappointed that no one from your company followed up with us Monday or yesterday to offer an apology and some type of refund...we did not get what we paid for. I'm in the customer service business and would make it a priority to follow up with a customer who you know was having issues day 1 of their rental. I would appreciate a follow up call and notification of a refund and when we should expect it. Thank you. Greg Remmers

We want to sincerely apologize for this happening to you on your adventure. The unit has been going through an extensive inspection process since it has been back here to find out the source of the leaks and get them fixed so this will not happen again. There were unfortunately some heavy monsoon storms in the area you were camped and again I apologize for that. I am meaning to reach out to you in regard to your rental fiasco, but was waiting on the report from my techs on the RV itself. Donny, the owner stated he had spoken to you over the weekend about what was going on with the leaks and that he offered you a substantial credit towards your next rental to gain your trust back with Garvin's RV & Adventures. I will be reaching out to you later today to speak with you about the refund and credit and hope you will give us a chance to make all this right and give you a GREAT Adventure experience in the future.
