The Great Outdoors

New Stanton campers will be close to several beautiful state parks. Linn Run State Park is the closest and consists of verdant woodlands along the Linn Run. This stream is a popular spot for fishing and contains an abundance of trout. Slightly farther downstream, there's a waterfall, which is the perfect spot for a family picnic. Hikers will have over 600 acres to explore, with six miles of trails that lead along the Linn Run and through a section of forest. These trails are also suitable for horseback riding. During the winter, the park's trail system is ideal for winter sports, including snowmobiling. When camping near Pittsburgh, you will be a stone's throw from the Laurel Highlands. Laurel Hill State Park is situated near Jones Mills and is one of the region's most popular parks. The park features the 60-acre Laurel Hills Lake, surrounded by forest-covered mountains. Despite the region's mountainous terrain, the park's 15 miles of trails are easy to follow and fairly mild. The Laurel Highlands are known for having a variety of wildlife, and hikers should keep a lookout for mink, bobcats, and black bears during their travels. Laurel Hill Lake is a popular location for watersports such as boating and fishing, and anglers will find trout, bass, and catfish lurking in the lake. While exploring Pittsburgh, you may want to take a break from the bustling streets, and if so, plan a trip to Point State Park. Where the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela rivers meet, this historic state park was the site of a battle during the French and Indian War. This well-maintained park has numerous walkways that provide stunning views of rivers, and the park is also adorned with several fountains. Due to the park being located where three rivers meet, it's perfect for kayaking, boating, and fishing. There are a few places to moor a boat for the day, and anglers can catch a variety of fish, including sauger, panfish, and catfish.

Exploring the City

While enjoying your motorhome rental in southwestern Pennsylvania, you'll want to plan a trip to the vibrant city of Pittsburgh. If you're looking to put your feet up, consider visiting the giant cinema or planetarium and catch an educational show.Pittsburgh also has a world-class zoo, which is an excellent attraction for families. Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
