The Airstream Basecamp 16X
Greatly improve your camping trips with an Airstream Basecamp. The Basecamp 16X is a great off-road and off-the-grid trailer that offers all the comforts of home: a full king-sized bed, gas heater, shower, flush toilet, sink, stove, water heater, refrigerator, air conditioning, and microwave. The bed converts into two tables, and we’ve done the bed modification (which is now standard on Basecamp 16s) so that you can have a half bed and one table setup.
The X package includes a 3″ lift, all-terrain tires, rock guards on the front, 180W solar panels on top. Ours also includes the air conditioner and microwave. On the outside, there is an external port for propane for a gas grill or oven, and an electric port for portable solar panels. Although, you probably won’t need the latter as we added an additional 200 Watts of solar panels on top. We also swapped out the AGM batteries for lithium-ion, so these last a long time. We installed an easy-start on the air conditioner, so it’s not so hard on the power supply.Adventure-Ready Airstream Basecamp 16X – Go Anywhere, Sleep Anywhere

My name is Chris, and grew up in So Cal. I have always loved the outdoors and being in nature. From hiking local trails in L.A. to Half Dome in Yosemite. From the beaches of Malibu to Santa Barbara (Go Gauchos!) From skiing the slopes of Big Bear to Mammoth to Lake Tahoe. From roughing it in the outdoors, to overlanding, and luxury camping in the Airstream. There are so many sites in California that must be visited.
