This state park is a must-visit for bird watchers, as hundreds of species pass through this area while they are migrating. The park's hiking trails provide perfect vantage points for bird watching, and there's also a large viewing tower that you can take advantage of. The park is located right along the Rio Grande River and the Mexico border and has beautiful scenery.In the nearby town of Hidalgo, you'll find the World Birding Center as well as the Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum. This is a very popular place to watch migratory birds and learn more about the history of the area. Hundreds of birds pass through the area every year, and there are birds to watch year-round, regardless of the season. Near the birding center, you'll find Carlson Lake, a local reservoir where you can go fishing.The Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge is just 30 minutes' drive south near Alamo. It's also a popular destination for bird lovers in the area. This lush preserved habitat is home to hundreds of plant and animal species, including many different types of birds and butterflies. You may even see an ocelot or two, which are native to the region. Explore the refuge's 12 miles of trails and tiptoe across the canopy walk, a rope bridge stretched between two towers offering excellent views of the surrounding area. The refuge also provides tram tours on the weekends, which is a great way to learn more about the region's wildlife without walking.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
