Registered Liberty Hill Park campers are allowed to splash around at the swim beach year-round. Otherwise, day-users can swim here from the beginning of April through the end of September. There’s no lifeguard on duty. However, you will be able to borrow life jackets from the gatehouse if needed. If boating is your thing, you’ll find that Liberty Hill Park features two multi-lane boat ramps, as well as a marina where visitors can pick up bait, tackle, and gas before cruising out to open waters. Navarro Mills Lake currently holds the state record for white crappie, so fishing is another favorite pastime here. Anglers have access to a fishing pier at the park, where they can try their luck at catching some crappier, as well as hybrid stripers and channel and yellow catfish. When hunger strikes on your motorhome camping trip, grab a snack and kick back with a picnic at the Oak Park Day Use Area or Brushie Prairie Day Use Area. Make sure to bring along cameras in your travel trailer; the natural environment of Liberty Hill Park produces wonderful native wildflowers during the spring season. Keep an eye out for bluebonnets, paintbrushes, and many other colorful flowers and plants as you picnic by the sparkling lake. This vibrant setting also provides a habitat for diverse creatures, so when you go camping at Liberty Hill Park, you might catch a glimpse of bobcats, coyotes, armadillos, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, and white-tailed deer. Birdwatching is also popular here. As you stroll around the terrain or lounge lakeside, see if you can spot great blue herons, shorebirds, songbirds, plus hawks and bald eagles.

Exploring the Area

Travel back in time at Pioneer village or wander western art collections at the Pearce Museum. Visit some art galleries and take in a live show at the Palace Theater, a restored 1921 vaudeville house.Corsicana is also about 50 miles away from the downtown of Dallas, which is another exciting city you may want to include on your itinerary as you’re making the rounds in your rental RV. There really is no shortage of cultural entertainment and natural beauty in this region of Texas.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
