The Great Outdoors

Just to the north of Dawson sprawls the Navarro Mills Lake, which is ringed by waterfront parks and picnic areas. Pick up your RV rental in Dawson and head to Liberty Hill on the southern shores or Oak Park to the east, with Pecan Point Park sprawling along the northern shores. You can follow one of the many hiking trails that traverse the parks while keeping your eyes peeled for great blue herons and hawks or try your luck at luring crappie and catfish from a fishing boat.

RV Parks

Pick up your camper rental in Dawson and drive south to the Lakeside RV Park, which is situated in a peaceful country setting on the edge of Coolidge. There are full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service and a small laundry facility, as well as outstanding stargazing once the sun goes down.

Exploring the City

Grab your motorhome rental in Dawson and drive to the edge of town where the Battle Creek Burial Ground Historical Marker stands. It marks the grave of a party of Texan surveyors who were killed by Kickapoo Indians in 1838 after being ambushed during a buffalo hunt. Only seven of the surveyors survived and those that did returned to the place of the battle to bury their comrades in a common grave.

the camper was small and nice- perfect for 2 people. the bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. one recommendation would be to bring an extra hose with you and connect to sink outlet so that water doesnt solash right where you are washing dishes.
