This is a nice sized truck bed camper that can sleep 2 adults comfortably. The truck is easy to drive and no need to worry about pulling a trailer.
The sink and shower works, as does the stove and oven. The furnace had been disabled. There is a large 120 vac fridge with a freezer. The fridge can only be used when plugged into shore power or a generator.
The camper carries 25 gallons of potable water in its storage tanks. The bathroom/head function, and must be pumped out before the camper is returned/picked up, when at a campground we anyways just use the public restrooms. Small black water tank and no grey water tank. There is drain on the rear of the camper that can ne drained into a bucket if needed.
The dinette will fit 3 people comfortable and can be made into another area that can sleep another adult.
There are cabinets for storage as well as a closet to hang items in or store bags. The pickup truck is also a great place to store items you quickly want acess to, or that you don't intend of using while camping.
What's included2 camping chairs come with the unit as well as cookware, utensils and a cooler, a propane tank will also go with the camper for working the stove/oven that will be at least 1/2 full. Linens, pillows and blankets are included. A small heater is also included with the camper that can be plugged into the 120vac outlet.
An outdoor 2 burner cooking stove with a an added cast iron flattop is available for an extra 15$/ day or $50/ week, this will come with its own propane tank that you are responsible for filling. A generator can also be included for 25$/ day. It is an inverter generator so it runs quietly. We recommend this when staying at places that don't have shore power.
I will also deliver and set up the rig if you would like for the added fee.
RecommendationsNorthern Michigan has countless camping and outdoor activities, stay in Traverse City at an in town campground during the many festivals for a fraction of the cost of a hotel. Or venture to any of the surrounding areas to be a little more secluded, Manistee, Mesick, Benzie, are just some examples. It's a great rig for going to a campground setting up easily and then kayaking and hiking your days away and being able to come back to a comfortable bed to sleep in for the night.Other things to notePets welcome!

The Hornet was great! Easy to drive and very comfortable to sleep in. Drove it to Wolverine, MI and parked it on some property up there for a wedding. Everyone loved it! Would definitely rent it again!

We had a great time with Derek's camper. It was super convenient to Traverse City State Park and extremely easy to use. Thanks

The unit is 20 years old and is well worn, but it was what we expected for the price. Would rent it again.

Owner setup unit for me in state campground and made checkin and checkout very smooth and convenient. Unit was basic and I did not need to drive it so it functioned as a place to eat, sleep and enjoy the views of the bay. Minor issues were (i) we could not find a working outlet (e.g. to charge phone), (ii) could only use toilet to go 'number one' but we were in a campground with bathrooms. If the price is right ...
