Beaver Canyon Campground

Search for an RV in Beaver County, and you can find the RV make and model that perfectly suits your vacation needs. Begin your trip by aiming your Beaver RV rental south towards Dixie National Forest, near Cedar City. The forest has an impressive variety of vegetation and habitats and reaches a height of more than 11,000 feet at the peak of Boulder Mountain. The mountain is dotted with numerous small lakes and has stands of aspen, pine, spruce, and fir trees. Here you'll enjoy hiking and nature/wildlife observation, mountain biking, and other activities; in the winter, you can go downhill and cross-country skiing. Fishlake National Forest is to the east of Beaver and where you'll find Pando clone, unique vegetation that consists of aspen trees all interconnected from a single root system. The trees are believed to number more than 40,000, and some of them are believed to be more than 130 years old. If you're looking for something a little different to do, you can try prospecting and rock hounding while you hike the area. Fishing and hunting are allowed; if you're looking for something easier and more relaxing, you can take a self-guided rental motorhome tour of the park; there are several highways that intersect the area and provide a breathtaking view of the park and photo opportunities almost every step of the way. Slightly farther away, you'll find Zion National Park, a narrow slot canyon consisting of pink, red, and cream sandstone cliffs and a uniquely varied collection of plants and wildlife. Near the town of Springdale, you can take a shuttle bus into the park and leave the driving to someone else if you wish. The park has a visitor's center with exhibits and ranger presentations explaining the history and geography of the area, as well as maps and literature which can further add to your experience. As this is approximately a two-hour trip each way, you may want to leave early or consider making it an overnight trip.
