Lake Winnebago is the largest lake within the state, and a great way to experience it is from High Cliff State Park. As the name suggests, High Cliff State Park features rocky bluffs overlooking the lake, and a 40-foot observation tower gives visitors incredible vistas of the lake and surrounding cities, including Oshkosh and Appleton. Hikers will love this park, and several dedicated trails lead up cliffs providing a challenging hiking route. The park also offers access to the lake, which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Fishing is another popular pastime, and anglers can catch white bass, perch, and walleye in these waters.Another popular attraction to consider while renting an RV near New London is Lake Michigan. One of the best ways to discover this Great Lake is by visiting the Kohler-Andrae State Park. One of the closest cities to New London is Appleton, which features a number of unique attractions. This exhibit will teach you about his life and legacy, and kids will love learning some of Houdini's magic tricks through an interactive section of the exhibition.Another city well worth exploring is Green Bay. Green Bay is one of Wisconsin's best-known cities, and during your visit, it'll be easy to see why. One of the best family-friendly attractions is the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park. This zoo features over 200 animals, both local and exotic, including rare and unusual creatures such as African lions, snow leopards, and Japanese snow macaques.
