RV rental Le Havre, NOR: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

When you're ready to settle down after a long day of exploring, you'll find a few places to park your rental motorhome near Le Havre. There are two main places you'll want to consider. For people who simply want a place to park the motorhome rental for the night, Aire de Camping-Car in Le Havre is a primitive campground that would work well. The campground has limited availability, with just 13 spaces for motorhomes and a maximum stay of four days. Drinking water and sanitary waste disposal facilities are available on-site, and the campground is close to public transport and other services. On the other hand, if you want to experience a campground that has a little more to offer, consider Aire de Camping Car Honfleur, which is also about half an hour from the city. Hookups, clean water, and waste disposal are all provided here, and there are over 200 campsites. All the conveniences you might need are within a short distance of your site. While you're here, take some time to explore the quaint harborfront of Honfleur.

There's no need to go as far out as Versailles to find museums and points of interest. Le Havre has dozens of cultural attractions and historic sites worth seeing. One of these is the Musée Maison de L’Armateur, which loosely translates to the Museum of the Shipowner's House. This museum is the former residence of a wealthy 18th-century merchant, Martin-Pierre Foäche. Tour the lavishly decorated home and learn more about Foäche's life and legacy through informative exhibits. Another place of interest is Église St. Joseph, a gorgeous church that's visible from just about anywhere in town. Constructed in the mid-20th century, this church isn't as old as many others in France, but what it lacks in history, it makes up for in architectural beauty. On sunny days, thousands of panels in the stained glass windows add a spectacular splash of color to the concrete interior. And finally, for the architecture enthusiasts exploring Le Havre, Maison Du Patrimoine – Atelier Perret is a must-see. The heritage site pays homage to Auguste Perret, the celebrated architect who designed Église St. Joseph. Perret was tasked with restoring Le Havre to its former glory after WWII bombings destroyed much of its historically significant buildings. The heritage house features a replica of an apartment designed by Perret as well as insights into Perret's design processes for the church and restored buildings. Renting a campervan in Le Havre is one of the best ways to explore everything the city has to offer while enjoying the comforts of home on the road. Before you leave Le Havre, stop by one of Le Havre's French restaurants to try a Normandy delicacy: marmite dieppoise , a flavorful fish stew made with freshly caught seafood.
