Perched on a 20-foot embankment overlooking the Hardy Dam Pond, the Newaygo Campground is a rustic RV park along the Muskegon River. It nestles beneath oak and poplar forests that are noted for their scenic beauty while being less than an hour’s drive from the heart of Grand Rapids.
RV camping at the Newaygo Campground includes access to 99 sites, with vault toilets and a sanitation station available. There are picnic areas and shelters scattered throughout the campground, together with a children’s playground where young visitors can let off some steam. A boat launch makes it easy for anglers to get out on the water of Hardy Dam Pond, and there’s also a disc golf course that campers are welcome to utilize.
