Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA

Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA is the only campground on the west side of Bar Island. The campground offers a few pebble beaches with access to the ocean. These beaches are also an excellent place to catch a sunrise or a sunset. Bar Island is part of Acadia National Park, and you can catch a daily shuttle from the campground to the park. If you’re up for a bit of exercise, you can rent a bike from the campground and explore the area that way. After working up a sweat, clean up at one of the campground bathhouses with warm showers, and make sure your clothes are clean at the laundromat.

Traveling with children? They’ll enjoy the basketball court, playground, the KOA Express Fun Train, horseshoe pits, corn hole boards, and the planned activities that are scheduled throughout the year. If you forgot something at home, there’s a well-equipped camp store that can help you satisfy all your needs while visiting the island. Supplies can even be delivered directly to your site, free of charge.

And no matter what type of rental motorhome, at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, there’s a spot just for you. Choose between partial or full hookups and decide on whether you want a site with a view, oceanfront, or farther from the water in a grassy area. All the campsites have picnic tables and fire rings. Upgraded sites have hard-surface patios, patio furniture, and a gas grill.
