RecommendationsOne of the best parts of starting your trip in Bend is how many completely different adventures are within a few hours.CENTRAL OREGONMt. Bachelor — In winter and spring, reserve an overnight RV spot at Mt. Bachelor and wake up right on the mountain. Ski or ride all day, then come back to a warm van between laps.Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway — Spend summer or fall exploring Sparks Lake, Elk Lake, Cultus Lake and the surrounding Cascades. Bring the paddleboards or kayak and make a weekend of it.Smith Rock — Head north toward Terrebonne for hiking, climbing and incredible high-desert views. Nearby camping makes it an easy overnight escape.GO A LITTLE FARTHEROregon Coast — Follow Highway 101 through Bandon, Port Orford and Gold Beach for rugged coastline, beach walks, seafood and oceanfront sunsets.Painted Hills + John Day — Head east into Oregon's high desert for dramatic landscapes, wide-open roads and incredible dark-sky camping.McKenzie River — Drive west through old-growth forest toward waterfalls, hot springs and some of Oregon's lushest scenery. Sahalie and Koosah Falls are favorite stops along the way.GO OFF-GRIDThe Ekko really shines when you leave the campground behind. Central Oregon is surrounded by Forest Service and BLM land with incredible opportunities for legal dispersed camping.Apps like iOverlander, The Dyrt and Gaia GPS can help you locate established dispersed campsites and plan your route.A NOTE ABOUT RESERVATIONSPopular Oregon State Parks and Cascade Lakes campgrounds can fill months in advance during peak season, so reserve early when possible.Traveling without reservations? Some campgrounds offer first-come, first-served sites. Arriving around normal morning checkout time can give you the best chance of finding an opening.Need ideas? Ask us. We're happy to help point you toward an adventure that fits the season and the kind of trip you're looking for.Other things to noteA FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GOThis is our family's adventure van, and we've put a lot of care into creating an experience we hope you'll love. Please treat the Ekko like your own so future guests can enjoy it too.NO SMOKING

Rules and policies
Welcome to Our Adventure-Ready Winnebago Ekko! Thank you for considering our Ekko for your next trip! This is our personal family camper van, and we’ve poured a lot of love into outfitting it so you can experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest in comfort. We ask that you please treat it with the same care and respect as you would your own home so that our family—and future guests—can continue to enjoy it for years to come. • Our Ekko drives smoothly with AWD, but remember: you are driving a heavy, high-clearance house! Clearance Awareness: The van stands at 11 feet 6 inches tall. Drive-thrus, low-clearance parking garages, and low tree canopies are strictly prohibited. Always check overhead height signs. Speed & Braking: Maintain speeds at or below 65 MPH and leave a 4–5 second follow distance. AWD & Off-Roading: The AWD system is great for snow, ice, and maintained dirt or gravel roads (like USFS routes). Extreme rock crawling, deep mud, sand dunes, or unmaintained 4x4 trails are prohibited. Watch High Winds: In crosswinds over 30 MPH, slow down or pull over until conditions improve. Pre-Drive Checklist: Before turning the key, ensure roof vents are latched, the windows are closed, the awning is fully retracted, all hoses/cables are disconnected, and internal cabinet/fridge doors are latched shut.

We’re a Bend-based family who believes some of the best memories happen when you leave the usual behind. Our Ekko has taken us into the mountains, along winding forest roads, beside alpine lakes, and to places where the stars are brighter and mornings move a little slower. We love the freedom of having everything we need with us—while still being able to follow the weather, take the long way, or stay another night when we find somewhere we don’t want to leave. We created PNW Pathfinder to share that experience with other families, couples, and adventurers who want to explore the Pacific Northwest without giving up comfort along the way. We’ve thoughtfully equipped the van with the things we’ve found make a trip better, and we’re always happy to share favorite routes, campsites, swimming holes, mountain stops, and a little local knowledge. Wherever you take it, we hope the Ekko becomes more than where you sleep. We hope it becomes part of the adventure.
