August's 2021 Off-Grid Family Glamper
August's 2021 Off-Grid Family Glamper

The 2021 Sportsman Classic is a light weight and comfortable Rv. At under 3,000 pounds dry and can be pulled by most rigs (you don't need a big truck to pull it:). It sleeps 4-6 conformably (1 queen size bed), but if you have little kids the slide out/eating area can be converted to a bed for 1-2 kids (we do this, we are a family of 6) and it works great. Also, the slide can easily seat 6 for meals and games which is why we bought and use this model.
It is easy to tow for a beginner and includes anti-sway bars. There is ample storage for gear and camping supplies. It has gas heat, electric power and A/C. The fridge can be cooled with electric or gas which is cool if you are dry camping. The generator can be included for a small extra cost if you need one.
It comes complete with a full private bath, tub/shower combo, refrigerator with freezer, 2 burner gas range, microwave, and sink. This 21 footer is packed with a lot of add-ons that are included in the price.
To make your trip as easy as possible, we'll provide paper plates, disposable eating utensils, napkins, cleaning wipes, and other essential kitchen items.
We’re locals, so if you need ideas of places to go, hot springs to see, or trails to climb, we’ll be happy to give you some great ideas!
We are new to outdoorsy so any feedback on your experience would be welcomed!
The Rv is also jam-packed with all kitchen needs including a kurig coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils and basic tools. We have games for everyone, reading lights and s'more roasting sticks and camp chairs for the camp fire fun. Included also is a 2 burner propane stove and table to cook outside. Sleeping includes fresh linens and pillows.
In Southwest Idaho, Boise is a capital city brimming with adventure. The Boise Foothills join the east side of the city, providing grounds for several great hiking trails. Above the foothills, the expansive Boise National Forest offers endless options for spending the night. Home to some of the best campgrounds near Boise, this national forest is a top spot for RV and tent camping...

Our favorite trip was going to the Oregon coast and then ending with some family visits in the Seattle area. We started out by driving to Boardman from Boise, then hung out with family in Tillamook Oregon, then to Manzanita State Park, then Seattle. We did it all, dry camping, full hook up camping and "park outside your brother-in-law's house camping". The rig is light and fairly short and with the higher wheel base it is easy to get around in random spots :)
Unfortunately we can't allow pets or smoking in the rig. With the variety of allergies and cleanliness needs we saw it better to make the rule.
Generator available: As mentioned above there is a small generator available to rent if you find the need for dry camping (don't forget to bring water and ask us to fill the tank:).
Easy to hook up and use rig with most vehicles.

Hi! - We are the Cochran's! Welcome!
We are from Boise, Idaho and LOVE all things out doors. We are off grid campers, rv-glampors, hikers, fish and critter finders! We really enjoy it all - staying at the beach, desert, or up in the mountains next to the river in a hammock. We have chickens, milking goats, a garden and fruit trees and love to learn. We are huge Seahawk fans and even love a little Nascar (don't judge lol). Our favorite Rv trip was probably to the Oregon coast where we stayed at Manzinita state park, Tillamook, and then up to the Seattle area to stay with family - in the camper - it was fun and versatile and the kids did awesome! (4 boys, 11, 9, 6 and 4).

Working with the owners was fine and no issues at all. However, Outdoorsy.com I would not recommend to use. They pulled my original deposit through my paypal which I authorized then turned around 5 days after our trip was completed and charge another deposit directly through my bank of which I did not authorize. They also admitted doing it. If you do not want to spend hours fighting them and threatening legal action, I would find another way to rent from this owner. You cannot get someone in America on the phone and several times they put you on hold because they cannot answer the questions. A nightmare I will not do again. I hope the owner finds another place to rent his camper out. 4 stars for the owner and a negative review for outdoorsy.com
