Discover Enderby

The Great Outdoors

As the city is bordered by the Shuswap River to the east and northeast, wherever you turn it seems to be all water-fueled fun. When you search for an RV in Enderby, you’ll also find that canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and tube floating down the river are all popular. The challenging Enderby Cliffs Trail is only three miles out of the city center, and yet you'll be 2,200 feet from the ground when you reach the summit, either on hiking boots or snowshoes.

About 20 miles to the north, an hour's ride in your Enderby RV rental, Larch Hills beckons with cross-country ski trails best explored under the light of a full moon. Or put on your snowshoes and listen to snowflakes crunch.

Find out where your leg power can take you when rubber meets the road on a Century Ride, a 100-kilometer cycling journey through Okanagan and Shuswap that starts and ends on Pleasant Valley Road in Armstrong.

If you can't do it whole, try to do Enderby's cycling trails in parts. If 20 kilometers is all you can afford, saddle up for the Inch Logan to Riverside run, or Inch Logan to Bafano's. For a bit more challenge, take the Lansdown Hills route, or Inch Logan to Mara over the bridge. For something easier on the knees, choose one of Enderby's Cycling courses under 6 kilometers: Grindrod Grind, Canyon Road, or Brash Allen Road to Campbelldale Road.

Enderby's cool climate produces excellent Pinot Noir, Foch, Pinot Gris and other reds. Treat yourself to a multi-sensory experience and take your camper rental in Enderby on a wine tour. Follow the route as it takes you north to Waterside Vineyard and Winery, Larch Hills Winery, and finally Baccata Ridge Winery south of Salmon Arm.

If you wish to take your RV rental in Enderby, British Columbia to Glacier National Park two hours northeast, follow the Trans-Canada Highway-BC Highway 1. Stick to the same road to get to Banff National Park in Alberta, 2½ farther down the road from Glacier National Park.

RV Parks

Quilakwa RV Park may be outside the bend of the Shuswap but it's only a half-mile walk to Maud Street and Mill Avenue bus stops. The park is an oasis of calm and serenity made even more soothing by the groomed lawn and grassed sites. Hiking trails and golf courses are close by, with the Enderby Cliffs providing a dreamy backdrop. Full-service sites for water, power, and sewage are available, along with a host of amenities like showers, toilets, laundry facilities, and picnic tables. Pets are welcome. Walmart's Salmon Arm Supercentre is 13 miles north while the nearest gas stations are within five miles or under 10 minutes’ drive.

Riverside RV Park is within Enderby’s bend of the river and less than a mile north of downtown. Surrounded by fir and pine trees, with the peacefully flowing Shuswap River by its side, the park is a natural place to unwind. Stroll on the Heritage River Walk, or follow it downtown if you need access to amenities. Full hookups for RVs, washrooms, showers, and a covered kitchen area promise to make your RV camping more comfortable.

Farther afield, the Shuswap Falls RV Resort is big-rig friendly, with all the sites fully serviced with power, water, and sewer. Showers and washrooms, a swimming pool, spacious areas to allow your canopies to open, and fire pits are just some of the amenities you'll find at the RV park. There's a great cafe, general store and gas station within 15 minutes' drive of your motorhome rental in Enderby.

Exploring the City

The great outdoors may be Enderby's main visitor draw but there's plenty going on in downtown too. When you book an RV in Enderby, you can scope out the riverfront for live music and good eats, then stretch your legs as you browse for vintage and antique finds at the South Enderby Flea Market. If pottery, paintings, sculptures and stained glass are your kind of art, look around the Courtyard Gallery where Enderby's resident artists and artisans showcase their work.

Or maybe power tools, industrial tools, hand tools and farm tools are more your thing? Then check out the one-man show at Deep Creek Tool Museum and you’ll be amazed. For green thumbs, a visit to the CSA (community-supported agriculture) Green Croft Gardens in your Enderby motorhome rental may be in order. They sell locally and sustainably grown vegetables, honey, preserves, wool crafts and more.
