North Beach Camp Resort is in St. Augustine, FL, which is on the state's far, eastern coast. The resort is actually situated on a tiny strip of land that is surrounded on one side by the Tolomato River, and on the other by the Atlantic Ocean. In some places, this peninsula is less than one mile across. This is one of the larger towns in the local area, and it sits around 40 miles southwest of the nearest larger city, Jacksonville.North Beach Camp Resort is open throughout the year and features easy water access for fishing, swimming, and other beach activities. There is also an oceanside deck where you can watch the sunrise! There is a restaurant, a small store that offers other conveniences, and even a bait shop on-site. You will also find numerous gas stations and grocery stores in town. There are plenty of restaurants, many that focus on seafood, nearby, as well. With a stay at this family-friendly campground on the east coast of Florida, you should have no trouble finding any services you may need.The campsites offer full-hookups, and many of them are shaded and quite private, as they are dispersed amongst the trees. Some even provide river views. There is also a playground for the kids, pool access, bathrooms, a laundry facility, and pets are welcome here. The Great Outdoors

Motorhome camping at North Beach Camp Resort will make it easy to participate in many outdoor activities. The beaches found nearby are perfect for sunbathing, enjoying a picnic lunch and swimming spots to escape the Florida sun. Fishing is available both onshore or via a boat on the water. The ocean coast and other waterways are also perfect for exploring by paddleboat, such as a kayak.At the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, you can learn about and observe various reptiles. When you're there at the right time, you may get to watch them feed. Some bird species are exhibited, as well. You can even get a bird's-eye view of the attraction from the zip line course. You can see other exotic animal species at the St. Augustine Wild Reserve. This is a small facility, so reservations must be made in advance for tours. They do offer up-close views of the many creatures, though.Check out the Colonial Quarter, which highlights the history of the local area. You can watch for invaders from the top of the watchtower or learn craft skills, such as shipbuilding, from artisans in a period-specific dress. Buildings that resemble those that would have been here during Colonial times are available for touring. There are also shopping and restaurants offered for you to explore.

Exploring the Area

Book an RV in St. Johns County, and you will find yourself surrounded by all sorts of fun things to do and see. There are many museums located around town. The Medieval Torture Museum details painful punishments that have been used throughout history. The Lightner Museum is housed in a historic hotel and features pieces of fine art and historical artifacts. At the St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum, learn about pirates who were famous locally and view some of their loot. There is also a Ripley's Believe it or Not location nearby. RV camping at this campground gives you easy access to many unique attractions found locally.There are also all sorts of historical places found nearby. You can take a ferry to visit the Fort Matanzas National Monument. Tour the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, which was built in the 1700s to help guard the coast. Rangers in period-specific dress offer historical information on the site. Take a tour of the Old Jail in town and see what life would have been like for the inmates who were imprisoned there. Walk the cobblestone streets of Old City that has been a feature here since the Spanish first settled in the area.There are other neat attractions found nearby. At the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, you can climb to the top of the light and get a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape and the ocean beyond. Artifacts from shipwrecks that occurred nearby are featured in the museum. The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park offers many different exhibits. Here there is a planetarium that shows off the night skies; you can also tour a model of a village from one of the many American Indian tribes that originally lived in the area. Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? How does check-in work?

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
