Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Fort Yargo State Park is a natural draw for adventurous bikers, hikers, disc golfers, and other recreationally inclined folks. This 1,816-acre park is located in northern Georgia between Atlanta, Athens, and the Chattahoochee National Forest in the small town of Winder. This park is covered in loblolly pine and oak trees and is home to a popular 260-acre lake.
In 1792, some of the early European settlers in the area built a log cabin to protect themselves from the natives. That building, one of a few built by the Humphrey brothers, is still preserved today as a historic monument. Its history is vast and extends past the Civil War.
