Visitors will discover many local attractions they can visit while in the area. An hour away in the state’s capital city Atlanta is Centennial Olympic Park. This attraction was where the 1996 Summer Olympics were held before later being converted into a public park. Covering over 22 acres, Centennial Olympic Park has many interesting highlights, including gardens, the Quilt Plazas, amphitheaters, and guided tours. There is also a large Ferris wheel close by that offers panoramic views of the area. During the year, the park hosts a variety of events, such as a vibrant fireworks display for the Fourth of July and a spectacular Christmas light show.
