2013 Mercedes Sprinter
Genny is a 2013 Sprinter with a 2021 conversion that will have you adventuring in comfort.She’s fully equipped with a convertible queen bed with a comfy memory foam mattress and a sizable seating area/dinette.Fancy cooking on the road? Genny also has a good sized refrigerator, a 2-burner induction stove, a large sink for dishes, and a filtered water tap.You don’t have to sacrifice any comfort, as the van is jam-packed with high-end components. Genny also has a composting toilet, a hideaway indoor shower, an outdoor shower, a 32 gallon water tank, a heater, fans and operable windows.Adventuring with gear? There’s plenty of storage in the back for bikes, snowboards, etc! (Note: If you plan on bringing a bike, message us with the dimensions of your bike with the front wheel taken off so we can make sure it'll fit!)Bring your furry friends – we even have a built-in slide-out dog bowl! Pets are allowed, but we charge a $100 fee for bringing pets.Note: Tow hitch and bike rack are not included in the rental. Note there is an extra fee for pets, but you're more than welcome to bring your furry friends along!No smoking in the van.If the toilet is not emptied when the vehicle is returned, you will be charged $30.If the gray tank is not emptied when the vehicle is returned, you will be charged $10.If the diesel tank is not filled back to the level it was when you left, you will be charged $8 per gallon.The standard cleaning fee is $100. If the van is substantially dirty, we may charge up to $200 for cleaning (for example, if you go to Moab and leave the interior of the van covered in red dirt, it will likely take us twice as long to clean).Don't put any solids down the sink drain (no food scraps) as it will clog the drain.Note that Genny is NOT an off-road vehicle. This includes rough dirt roads and roads with steep grades. If you do take this vehicle off-road, you will be charged $500.

We took this van through Wyoming and Montana. It was cold outside with snow but the van stayed warm in the night without the heat even on. Also, it had enough energy for us to cook dinner and take a hot shower with plenty of battery remaining for the night. The fridge worked very well. The toilet/shower situation was very efficient. Overall, this van made it easy for us to camp anywhere for 6 nights. It drives very well, fuel efficient and had no trouble on slightly covered snow grounds. Larry was very helpful too. He’s a great host and very responsive.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
The van was great - just as advertised. Perfect for off the grid camping, with only the need to return to civilization every couple days for fresh water. All systems worked well - cooking, washing and bathing, hygiene, sleeping, and driving. The van drives great too. No issues on mountains/hills or dirt roads.
The reason I’d give more than 5 stars is because Larry saved our trip. We were driving from Denver to Moab and were most of the way there when the check battery light came on. I informed Larry, we talked it through and decided it was either an alternator or a belt issue and then I promptly lost signal. We settled down and camped for the night, figuring we’d call a mechanic in the morning and that would be that.
The next morning when we got signal in Moab I received a flurry of texts and notifications from Larry, asking where we were because he was by Moab. Larry had spent the night figuring out the issue, drove from Denver to Utah (a 6 hour drive), picked up a new alternator and belt along the way (and brought a spare battery just to be safe), and was going to meet up with us to fix the problem. He was adamant about getting the issue solved so the vehicle wouldn’t break down in the middle
of the desert and ruin the vacation. We were able to track down a mobile mechanic and then Larry and Curtis the mechanic changed out the alternator.
Sometimes unforseeable things happen with vehicles because that’s the way it goes. But rather than shrugging it off and telling us to call a mechanic, Larry drove 6 hours to Utah, spent 5 hours with us in Moab tracking down and then working with a mechanic, and then drove 6 hours home, all to help us. His efforts saved our vacation and we are grateful for his help, communication, and thoughtfulness. We will absolutely rent from him again.
