There are trails, canoe and bike paths, pull-offs, observation decks, and interpretive signage throughout. Visitor centers offer exhibits, environmental programming, bookstores, and other services and activities for visitors’ enjoyment and education.The Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens was recognized as a local Organization of the Year, and you will be able to appreciate it too when you're RV camping at the KOA near here. The Lost Island Waterpark is one of the best attractions in the area when you set up camp in a travel trailer at Waterloo/Lost Island KOA. It was recognized as one of the best outdoor water parks by USA Today’s Reader’s Choice Awards and is in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame. This spectacular amusement park features attractions including water slides, rafting, tubing, wave pools, flumes and coasters, an island oasis, golf, go-karts, and children’s activities. The mermaid mascot makes appearances in the summer. There is plenty to appeal to all ages and stages, and you’ll be able to access it all easily from your RV site. Reserved cabanas with personal attendants and other amenities are available for rent. There are multiple eating and drinking establishments in the park. Special events and themed weekends are held throughout the year.The Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo is another major draw when you are camping at Waterloo/Lost Island Waterpark KOA. As with any casino worthy of the name, there are a number of excellent eating and drinking establishments here. There are also slot machines and video poker, table games, baccarat, tournaments, promotions, and other contests of chance and skill. The hotel also hosts live entertainment and other ways to enjoy yourself. It is a destination in itself and one you'll want to make sure you set aside some adult time for while you are here.You can eat at the on-site snack bar when you are RV camping at Waterloo/Lost Island Waterpark KOA. There are also cafés, snacks and treats, and a beer garden at the Lost Island Waterpark and several restaurants, including a steakhouse and a buffet, at the Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo. In addition, you’ll be able to find pretty much anything else you want nearby, from fine dining to family-friendly meals and fast food. When you need to fill up your tank as well as your stomach, there are numerous convenience stores, truck stops, and service stations where you can find either gasoline or diesel fuel.
What type of RV should I choose?
Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?
Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.
How does check-in work?
Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
