If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a relaxing getaway in southwestern Italy, look no further than Salerno. Located less than an hour southeast of Naples, this vibrant city is often overlooked in favor of other destinations nearby. But that certainly doesn't mean you should avoid Salerno, which has much more of an authentic feel than some of the other tourist hotspots on the nearby Amalfi Coast.
