Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park Campground

Aside from the marina and golf course at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park, there isn’t a whole lot to do in tiny Burkeville. It is the county seat of Cumberland County and features a charming town square, though there are not many other attractions in this small community. You can take a ride to Glasgow, a nearby city with more to offer as far as sightseeing goes. The South Central Kentucky Cultural Center is a fabulous resource for those hoping to learn a thing or two about southern Kentucky and the Appalachian region. Also known as the Museum of the Barrens, this institution housed in an old clothing factory has a gift shop, antiques for sale, artwork, historical exhibits, and more. Plaza Theatre is a historical performance art center in the heart of town that has been putting on shows since the 1930s. Live music performances, concerts, musicals, and Broadway plays are frequently hosted at this lovely space, so be sure to catch a show while you're RV camping at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park Campground. The South is home to numerous battlegrounds and historic forts. If you're interested in military history, you can tour the Fort Williams Civil War Battle Site when renting a camper in the area. The fort was a Union installation built to repel southern Confederates and was the site of fiercely fought conflicts and skirmishes. This graveyard and memorial honor those lost in battle while telling the story of the Civil War. When you book an RV in Cumberland County, there is no shortage of history to explore, fun to be had, or beauty to see. Settle into one of the campsites at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park Campground, and you'll be in an ideal position to experience it all.
