Picnic shelters are available, too, along with firewood. For recreation, there is full access to Laurel River Lake, along with plenty of recreational trails to explore, boating, and fishing.

When you’re looking for a place to camp in an RV near Laurel River Lake, drive to the Laurel Lake Camping Resort in nearby Corbin. The campground has 36 campsites, featuring amenities like pull-thru sites, full hookups, big rig access, tent camping, 30 and 50 amp electric, water, sewer, dump station, WiFi, cell phone coverage, and cable television. Campers have access to restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a camp store, a café, and a pet area for your four-legged friends. Explore the many recreational trails around the campground.

Exploring the Area

Laurel County campers will get to enjoy a slice of that famous southern hospitality on their travels through Laurel County. Stop by in Corbin and London, to explore the offerings in and around the area.

Home to the famed Kentucky Fried Chicken, your first stop must be at the Colonel Sanders Café and Museum in Corbin. The café and museum house the original kitchen where Colonel Harland Sanders conceived and cooked the magical recipe of the signature ‘original fried chicken’ back in 1940. That famed fried chicken is still among one of the favorites in the world today! Check out the museum’s many exhibits and memorabilia on Colonel Sanders.

Drive-in your Laurel County camper rental to Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park, a historic site dedicated to the pioneers who settled in Kentucky.
