The Great Outdoors

No matter where you end up parking and staying in your campervan rental, you are bound to be close to some sort of nature park or recreation area in the great state of Michigan. Maybury State Park is close to Haas Lake Park RV Campground. This unique, historic park was once a quarantine area for tuberculosis patients, long before it became a nature park open to the public. Some of the original pathways and doctors' residences are still intact, although the area around it has since been filled in by the forest. Hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding are wonderful ways to travel through the park, while swimming and fishing in the pond help visitors cool off when the temperatures soar each summer.A series of state-run recreation areas are scattered throughout central Michigan, bringing in millions of visitors each summer to camp, hike, swim, and enjoy the great outdoors. Brighton Recreation Area and Island Lake State Recreation Area can be found on either side of nearby Brighton. Island Lake State Recreation Area is the closer of the two, with thousands of acres of ponds, lakes, and forests. There are a shooting range, hiking trails, and the only public hot air balloon launching spot in the state of Michigan. Youngsters love to visit what is considered to be the oldest aquarium in the country to see the brightly colored fish and a range of other undersea oddities.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
