Cast your fishing rods into Hell Creek for pike, bluegill, and sunfish.Should you fancy a boat ride, take your kayaks and canoes into Hell Creek Campground to explore it a little further. The Portage River flows just outside the Hell Creek Campground, and canoeing and kayaking here is considered a lot of fun.Very close to Hell Creek Campground is the Pinckney Recreation Area. Considered an oasis for backpackers, mountain bikers, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts, you’ll find so much to do here. Put on your hiking boots and set out to explore the extensive trail system. With over 40 miles of multi-use trail networks, you could choose to go hiking, mountain biking, or even horseback riding, which is very popular in the area. Here too, you’ll find numerous small fishing lakes that are ideal for anglers to fish in.When camping with an RV in the Pinckney area, consider the classic hiking trail known as the Potawatomi Trail, one of the longest and oldest loops in the area. This is also one of the most scenic trails around and goes through glacial hills and moraines.A few minutes from Hell Creek Campground is the Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park that has a 34-mile long multi-use trail. One half of the trail is designated for hiking, while the other half is open to mountain biking and horse riding. Alongside the park flows the beautiful Huron River.

Howell is the county seat of Livingston County, and the Brighton Howell Area is packed with activities for visitors. The city holds many festivals at different times of the year, in addition to its numerous attractions that are open through the year.Should you happen to be visiting in the month of June, you’ll be in time for a fun Balloonfest. August is time for the Melon Festival to honor the city’s most unique local crop, the melon.Stop by at the Howell Nature Center and check out the rehabilitation efforts in place for permanently injured wildlife. You’ll get to see bobcats, coyotes, deer, eagles, foxes, hawks, and owls, among other animals and birds.Stroll through Downtown Howell, a National Historic District that’s home to numerous buildings dating back centuries. A range of architectural styles adorns the buildings, including Greek Revival, art deco, and Italianate. Shop for souvenirs at one of the many quaint stores with really interesting window displays. Summer months see a farmers market and mini-festivals over the weekends.Are you a wine lover? Visit the Howell Main Street Winery for a fun winetasting afternoon coupled with great music. And if music is your thing, check out live music events in the city on Fridays in the fall months.Dining in Howell opens up a range of opportunities for you, with plenty of cuisines to choose from. Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
