We had a blast cruising around in James's campervan! safe, easy to drive with all the essentials needed. Fun interior decor as well. It snowed a fair amount (first snow of the year), and we were nice and warm inside! Warm bed linens + Cozy Cabin heater worked great! highly recommend.

Van was incredible. Everything you need for traveling, simple and sturdy. James was a fantastic renter and more than helpful throughout the trip. Would definitely rent the van from him again next time I'm in Montana!

Wow, awesome vehicle with more to offer than we could have imagined. We took it into Glacier National park and around Flathead Lake. It allowed us to camp for much less at RV parks than staying in a hotel. Its frame allowed us to easily fit into normal sized parking spaces, which was huge when trying to park close to attractions we wanted to see and hike around in GNP. Included plenty of water, a sink, awesome mini fridge (with complimentary 6 pack and chocolate - thanks James!), and a cool battery/ power set up that allowed us to charge phones and laptops even when the Van wasn't running. I never saw this Goal Zero battery get below 50%. Awesome experience that allowed us to go wherever and connect with nature in a small space with my husband. Great experience working with James as well. Hand off was quick and smooth at start and end of rental. He was nice enough to take us to the airport in the van so we didn't have to call an Uber (for a fee). Really loved the 5 day rental and would do it again in a heartbeat!

The van provides the basics for 1 or 2 people and served its purpose as shelter for a trip to Yellowstone and beyond. However on my first day – while in Yellowstone - I found the driver’s side headlight did not work on dim, which prevented me from doing further night or early morning driving, which as a wildlife photographer, I did not appreciate. When returning the van, I asked the owner for some credit for the headlight – which he agreed to consider. Without discussion, he made charges against my damage deposit for extra mileage and a cracked windshield (rock from another car), extra cleaning and apparently some damage to small plastic step – which I never saw. When I asked him to itemize the charges, I found he had overcharged $122 for the mileage – which was corrected by Outdoorsy. I received a $50 credit for the headlight but that was negated by what I feel was overcharging for the cleaning and small plastic step. The van just needed sweeping and dusting and I know I could have cleaned the unit within a couple of hours – which should have been covered by the $50 cleaning fee. (There was no broom or other cleaning supplies supplied with the van) James complained that I left some things in the van that he had to dispose of. I thought he might want a Styrofoam cooler, portable toilet (new and unused) and empty box. If he didn’t want them, he could have told me that when I returned the van and I could have disposed of them. I never noticed any damage to the plastic step – it worked fine throughout the trip. Charging for extra miles is legitimate and I agreed to that in the contract. But be aware that James charges $1.00 per mile. (Now $1.25) In looking at other Montana listings, the highest rate I could find is $.50 per mile and the average is $.35-.40. I found a 40’ RV that charges $.40/mile. I tried to negotiate the disputed charges with James over several days but found he was not very interested in finding a solution that would work for both of us. Outdoorsy offered to help in the dispute but I'd already spent too much time on this vs. the dollar amount involved.

James was awesome to work with! He was great with communication and always responded quickly. We took the van to Glacier National Park and it was perfect for what we needed! I would definitely recommend booking with James and although he hasn’t decided on the name fully, “Betty” the van was awesome. 10/10 for the experience
