As the name implies, this is one of the few areas in the Continental US where glaciers can still be viewed.

Bikes and cross-country skiers can access the road throughout the year, unless plowing operations are currently in progress. The area offers visitors opportunities to view expansive mountain vistas, though be aware, winter conditions can occur at any time throughout the year.
