Bear Brook State Park is located about 45 minutes' drive east when you're motorhome camping at Autumn Hills Campground. This beautiful park features some of the most beautiful, scenic hiking trails in the area. Here you can also try archery, biking, camping, and more. The park covers about 10,000 acres and has several creeks and ponds where you can go fishing, swimming, or kayaking and canoeing. It is an ideal day trip destination when you camp in an RV at Autumn Hills Campground.Mount Kearsarge State Forest Park offers fantastic views from its mountain peaks - some of the best that you can find in this part of New Hampshire. It is less than an hour's drive north of the RV campground, with amazing outdoor recreational opportunities like hiking, scenic driving, rock climbing, camping, biking, and more. This is a great place for many winter activities too, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. There are many nice picnic areas and viewpoints where you can rest, so you can spend the whole day exploring the forest.Another beautiful park is Pawtuckaway State Park, located less than an hour's drive east of Autumn Hills Campground. Enjoy scenic views of Pawtuckaway Lake, or explore the forest hiking, horseback riding, biking, or snowmobiling. The lake has a beautiful sandy beach where you can go fishing, boating, and swimming. It is a popular outdoor location in the area, with lots of visitors year-round. There are many wildlife watching opportunities here, with a lot of resident deer, beavers, and blue herons to observe. Bring your cameras and binoculars when visiting the park.

Exploring the City

If you've got kids along for the RV rental ride, consider visiting the SEE Science Center in Manchester. This is an entertaining and educational museum where you can play with your kids or let them explore on their own. There are many fantastic exhibits here; most of them are interactive and highlight science projects, electricity, light, the universe, biology, and so much more. The museum is home to the largest permanent LEGO installation in the world, called the LEGO Millyard Project. Other exhibits you can see here include Biologyou, Electricity and Magnetism, and Universe Exhibition.Currier Museum of Art is another interesting place to see in Manchester. Here you can see a great collection of American and European art, from the Renaissance till today, including works of famous artists like Picasso, Monet, LeWitt, and O’Keeffe. The collection has numerous paintings, photographs, sculptures, and decorative art on display in permanent and temporary exhibits. The museum also organizes many different events and programs for adults and families, with live music, brunches, and art tours.McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is an air and space museum located in Concord. This unique place has entertaining and engaging programs and exhibits that inspire visitors of all ages to explore astronomy, aviation, earth, and space science. Enjoy indoor and outdoor permanent and temporary exhibits dedicated to astronomy, aviation, science, space history, engineering, and so much more. The museum was named after Alan Bartlett Shepard, the first American to travel to space, and Sharon Christa McAuliffe, one of the crew members of the Space Shuttle Challenger mission.
