The Great Outdoors

Buena campers will have access to many beautiful outdoor areas, and if you're not looking to stray far from camp, consider visiting Parvin State Park. On the edge of the beautiful Pine Barrens, Parvin State Park consists of forests and swamplands surrounding two lakes and a river. Parvin Lake is the largest of the lakes, and swimming is allowed here, with a swimming beach located at Parvin Grove. Boating is also possible here, and there's a boat launch located at Fisherman's Landing. The park contains several short trails that lead through woodlands, and while hiking, keep an eye out for some of the 200 species of wildflowers that grow in the park during the spring, including the rare swamp pink. While enjoying your RV rental near Buena, you'll no doubt want to visit the seaside. Corson's Inlet State Park is one of the closest seaside parks to Buena, and this park consists mainly of undeveloped sand dunes overlooking the ocean. This park is perfect for a stroll along the beach, and during your walk, make sure not to disturb local birds nesting the area, which includes black plover, black skimmers, and least tern. Boating is popular here, and any size boat is allowed to set sail from the park. Fishing is another favorite activity, and anglers can expect to catch striped bass, bluefish, and much more in these waters. The Delaware River is also well worth visiting during your stay in southern New Jersey. Fort Mott State Park is one of the river's most historic parks, as it features fields and woodlands surrounding Fort Mott. The fort was constructed in the 1800s as part of a coastal defense system intended for use in the Spanish-American War. Now unused, visitors can explore the ruins and read interpretive signs describing the park's history. Past the fort is the Delaware River, with riverside trails to explore, as well as picnic areas if you're looking to relax.

Exploring the City

While there are many incredible cities worth visiting during your stay with an RV rental in Buena, there aren't many more exciting cities than Philadelphia. Philadelphia is full of world-class museums and unique excursions, which are sure to please all ages. Eastern State Penitentiary is one of the city's most unusual attractions. This prison was one of the country's most notorious institutions until its closure in the early '70s, housing some of America's most infamous prisoners, including gangster Al Capone. Now open to the public, visitors can explore jail cells, roam the halls, and visit areas used in films such as The Shawshank Redemption. One of Philadelphia's most popular family attractions is the Philadelphia Zoo. This zoo is notable as being one of the first zoos in the country, and it contains over 340 different species of animals, both local and exotic. Visitors will see some rare and wonderful animals they've likely never seen before, including sloth bears, aye-ayes, and Amur leopards. The zoo also has several other attractions, such as treetop assault courses, a carousel, and a zoo train.Philadelphia has some of the country's best museums too, and one of the most notable is the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This huge museum contains over 200,000 objects in its permanent collection, with an especially well-respected collection of Asian, European, and American art. There are some gorgeous pieces of art on display, including work by Winslow Homer, Vincent van Gogh, and Joan Miro.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
