The Great Outdoors

Mays Landing campers will find some gorgeous parks worth exploring in the local vicinity. If you don't want to stray too far from the campground, consider stopping at Estell Manor Park. This park features fields and woodlands along the edge of Stephen's Creek, a small river that meanders through the area. Ths park is perfect for a family day out with two playgrounds, several picnic pavilions, and a few hiking trails. Stephen's Creek is excellent for watersports, and kayaking or canoeing is possible here. If you want to learn more about the local environment, visit the nature center, which has many exhibits and artifacts relating to the park's history and ecosystem.While renting an RV near Mays Landing, you'll want to make a trip to one of the many oceanfront state parks in New Jersey. Corson's Inlet State Park is ideal if you're looking for a secluded waterfront stroll, as the park contains one of New Jersey's few remaining untouched seaside environments. The park includes a vast sand dune ecosystem, and while exploring the park, keep on the lookout for local birds, including black plovers, least terns, and sandpipers. Boating is possible from this park, with all sized boats welcome and a public boat launch, which is open 24/7. Another favorite way to pass the time is fishing, and there are some interesting catches on offer, such as weakfish, bluefish, and striped bass.New Jersey is well known for having some sublime forests, and you can experience them by visiting Parvin State Park. This park is located on the edge of an area known as the Pine Barrens, which consists mainly of dense pine forests and swamps. A few nature trails lead through the park, and the best time to visit is the spring when over 200 different species of wildflowers bloom. There are some exquisite flowers on display, including magnolias, azaleas, and dogwood. Another one of the park's main attractions is Parvin Lake, which is large enough for some watersports such as swimming, boating, and fishing.

Exploring the City

There are some great local cities worth exploring during your motorhome rental vacation in southern New Jersey; however, if you want to explore one of America's best known and most historic cities, plan a trip to Philadephia. The city has some fantastic museums, and one of the best is the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This world-class museum contains one of the largest collections of art in the country, with over 240,000 objects in its permanent collection, which includes a variety of American, Asian, and European pieces.Philadelphia also has some unique historical sights, and one of the most unusual is Eastern State Penitentiary. Before its closure in the early 1970s, this defunct prison was one of the biggest and most expensive correctional institutions in the country. It was featured in several Hollywood films and housed some of the country's most infamous criminals. Now open to the public, visitors can arrange tours can explore the cell blocks, visit Al Capone's old prison cell, and much more. The jail is also said to be haunted, and those feeling brave can book a paranormal investigation to see if anything goes bump in the night.You may be traveling with young children while on your campervan rental vacation. If so, you'll probably want to plan a visit to the Philadelphia Zoo. The zoo is the oldest in the country and features over 1,300 rare and wonderful critters from across the globe, including Amur tigers, African elephants, and southern white rhinos. The zoo also has fun activities, including a zoo train, zip lines, and much more.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
