Rufus Von Wasatch is our newest adventure vehicle! Professionally built by Thor motorhomes on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis, it features leather swivel captains chairs, kitchen fully equipped with 2 burner gas stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, full size bed with deluxe linens, toilet/shower room, 24" TV, loads of organized storage in the back, and a One Up bike rack (road, mountain, and e-bikes available for additional cost)Rufus runs on diesel fuel, but the amenities are powered by 190 watt rooftop solar panel, a 2500 LP generator, plus a 1,000-watt inverter, and 2 house batteries (Of course, there's always the option to plug in with the 30 AMP cord where accommodations allow). There's an air conditioner, furnace, hot water heater, pressure hose for washing off dirty gear, and an LED-lit power awning.Rufus has a propane quick-connect, and comes with a gas fire-pit and outdoor grill. We also include spike ball, and mini corn hole for some outdoor fun!We don't just want to rent Rufus, we want you to have an awesome experience. We are excited about sharing the places we love with you and would be happy to put together suggested itineraries and load the vehicle with food and goodies so that you are can get out and explore from the moment you step into the vehicle and make the most of your adventure!The vehicle is named after our very first Airedale Terrier family member, Rufus Von Wasatch. Raised in Midway, UT, then re-homed to our family in Ogden, Utah, he was always looking for an adventure!! He passed in 2014, and we've been blessed with two more rescue Airedales. But, just like this adventure vehicle, he was beautiful, rugged, and always looking for a fun time!

Ogden/Salt Lake is the gateway to Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches, Moab, Bryce, and many beautiful state parks and canyons to the south. To the north, it's a 5 hour drive to Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone. There are amazing weekend adventures to be had, as well as long excursions!We travel these areas extensively, and are happy to help you plan your road trip adventure!Other things to note
Pets are welcome! Please let them out frequently, and don't leave them unattended inside the van.NO SMOKING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE! This is a health issue for our family. We have been fortunate to wander the world and want to share our wandering adventures with you! We are especially fond of the national parks that are just a day's drive away. Rufus is a gentleman. Rufus is also a motivator! Our “mini” Grand Circle of five iconic Utah national parks (plus Monument Valley thrown in) was a huge success. That’s partly our over planning, partly a great van, and great support from Tom and Kathy!

Tom and Kathy were so kind and responsive! They even sent us great recommendations for hikes during our trip. The van was in great condition. This was our first time renting a van and it was a great trial run to learn what we would like to have in our own van one day! The fridge and freezer was big enough to hold enough food for the 2 of us for almost every meal for 10 days. There isn’t a ton of storage space in the van for clothes, not unexpected, but we made it work with our duffel bags and shuffling things around between driving and sleeping. The windows in the bed area were very nice to get a breeze in at night without turning on the AC. Overall an awesome experience!

Best host out there! Get ready to get compliments on Rufus pretty much everywhere you stop:) It was our first time experience staying in rv while camping, and gosh what a difference comparing to traditional camping. Everything sets up in a blink of an eye, a real time saver! Thank you Kathy for being so nice to us and for all the arrangements!!!

Very well stocked van with all the bells and whistles. Solar powered fridge was our favorite feature as well as the comfy bed and awning.

Tom and Kathy were wonderful to work with !! They gave us suggestions of places to visit. Rufus was fully stocked and we had everything we needed!! We received compliments on Rufus at most of our stops. We were dry camping and never needed anything. Great experience!

My pup Otis and I had a great time with Rufus Von Wasatch - the van was comfortable, with everything we needed included. I even managed to cook Pad Thai for our group of 8 at the campsite in the small but mighty kitchen :) The van drives like a dream and Tom and Kathy were super helpful when I had questions or needed help with anything. Pickup and drop off were easy too!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

We can arrange for drop off / pick up from the Salt Lake International or Ogden Hinkley airport or at local hotels. Lockbox pick up is also available for touch less delivery.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We will do a walk-through orientation on delivery or can send you a copy of a quick video so you can enjoy all the features of the vehicle. We have also included a convenient user's manual to refresh your memory!
