While camping in the Pocono Mountains, you'll be surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Numerous parks near Dingmans Ferry offer easy access to the area's wilderness. Just 30 minutes' drive from your campsite at Dingmans Campground is the 3,000-acre Promised Land State Park. The park is on the Pocono Plateau and offers some amazing views. Here you can go camping, picnicking, wildlife watching, swimming, fishing, hunting, boating, mountain biking, and more. Winter brings opportunities for cross-country skiing and ice skating. Environmental education programs are offered here, and the Masker Museum highlights the park's past, with exhibits detailing the Civilian Conservation Corps and some of the region's natural history.Visit High Point State Park in Sussex for more space to spread out and enjoy the woods. Hike up to the High Point Monument for incredible panoramic views. Additional activities to enjoy here include hunting, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, camping, and picnicking. Multiple trails can be accessed here, including the Appalachian Trail and the Cedar Swamp Trail.When you camp in an RV at Dingmans Campground, you'll be near the sights and attractions of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This massive area covers around 70,000 acres, with high rocky bluffs, thick forests, and tranquil lakes. Hiking, camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, and hunting are popular pastimes here. Visitors can also check out interpretive programs and historic areas.

Leave the woods for a while to see some of the region's best city attractions. If you want to sample some of the area's cuisines, you'll find a variety of dining options in Allentown, with fine dining venues serving lobster tails plus sushi restaurants, pizzerias, and Greek offerings. Then you can stop by the Da Vinci Science Center to see some amazing exhibits. Check out shows like BubbleMania as you learn the science of bubbles. Exhibitions and events change throughout the year here, so every time you stop, you can see something new.For a fun-filled, family-friendly destination, head northeast to Chester, NY, and spend a day at the local amusement park. Enjoy popular activities like roller skating and laser tag, or try your hand at something wilder like ax throwing. The indoor portion of the complex has a climbing wall, an arcade, a laser maze, and more. Outside, visitors can go zip lining, hop on rides, play a game of mini-golf, head to the driving range, and race around on go-karts.No visit to Pennsylvania is complete without digging beneath the surface at one of the caves around the area, and Lost River Caverns in Hellertown is worth a look. Grab your coat and explore the cold depths with a tour that’ll take you through the hollow area. Open since the 1930s, the unique rock formations make for fantastic photo opportunities. With a museum and nature trail, you can see artifacts, including fossils, minerals, and weapons from the 17th century.
