The Great Outdoors

Moore Township Appalachian Park is one of the closest natural areas when you're camping at Evergreen Lake Fishing and Camping, only about five minutes' drive north. This almost 200-acre park is located at the base of Blue Mountain. It offers many recreational opportunities, including bicycling, picnicking, nature viewing, and wildlife watching. Here you can enjoy amazing hiking trails of various lengths, including parts of Appalachian Trail.State Game Lands No.168 is only a few minutes' drive from the park and is a great hunting and fishing destination when RV camping in the area. This mostly forested area is perfect for deer hunting, as they are the most common species here. You can also find grouse, turkey, and squirrel. Other resident animals include foxes and coyotes. Here you can also enjoy hiking on several trails. Other popular pastimes include bird watching, wildlife watching, and wildlife photography.Beltzville State Park is about half an hour's drive west of Evergreen Lake Fishing and Camping. The park covers over 3,000 acres of mostly wooded land and is nestled by Beltzville Lake. The lake is a fantastic summer location with a beautiful sandy beach that offers a lot of water activities like swimming, boating, snorkeling, and more. Here you will find a lot of trout because the lake is fed by Pohopoco Creek. Other fish species you can catch here include largemouth bass, walleye, perch, muskellunge, and more. In the wintertime, visitors can go ice fishing, too. If you like hunting or wildlife watching, you can find deer, rabbit, pheasant, and ruffed grouse. Mountain biking, picnicking, and cross-country skiing are also popular activities within the park.

Exploring the City

When you rent an RV in Northampton County, you can visit many interesting attractions along the way. America On Wheels Museum is located in Allentown. It is a unique place where you can see some incredible cars dating back from the beginning of the 20th century to today. The museum has some permanent and temporary exhibits and offers field trips and educational tours, as well as events like Holiday Train Display, Cars, Corks and Chocolate, and more.Another incredible museum in Allentown is the Da Vinci Science Center. This 29,000-square-foot facility is a very popular science museum where visitors of all ages can enjoy science and hands-on interactive exhibits. In Leo’s Creativity Studio, you can see Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions and learn about the gifted designer. The museum organizes events, field trips, and educational programs year-round. Some of the exhibits you can enjoy here include Wave Power, Engineers on a Roll, PPL Electric Utilities Energy Zone, and more. Try out Sir Isaac Newton’s Second Law of Motion, an exhibit displaying tunnel vision, a pin wall that is based on television pixels, and other incredible discoveries.Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts in Bethlehem is one of the few museums in the United States that displays only decorative arts. When you visit the museum, you will have the opportunity to walk through three connected 19th-century homes and enjoy beautiful furniture, clothing, china, paintings, and more. The museum offers permanent and temporary exhibits, including PURSEonality: A Stylish Handbag History, Trees of Historic Bethlehem, A Winter's Tale, and others. There are also events and programs you can join, and kids can enjoy an interactive kids' room.

What type of RV should I choose?

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
