2021 Forest River Cherokee
This is quite literally a cozy mobile furnished apartment! It is a newer model 40' travel trailer with three slides that sleeps up to 8 (5 without using the convertible sleeping spaces such as the couch and dinette in the main cabin. You may be able to squish up to 3 more in for a total of 11, but that will require sharing sleeping spaces) comfortably.
***Note OF Attention:: Being that this camper is so large, please ensure that the site you reserve can accommodate it.*** Also, Delivery Only with this unit.For a good time, just bring food and personal effects!! This is just like renting an Air B&B, so it comes Completely stocked with everything you may need such as: typical small appliances (including an airfryer and crockpot), ample paper products, disposable (and traditional) utensils/plates/bowls, cookware, sanitized linens and towels, some hygiene items, cleaning products, garbage bags, plastic storage bags, etc. The main bedroom has one queen bed with lots of storage space. There is also a spacious bunk house that has 2 single bunks and a couch that pulls out into a large single. There is no storage space in the bunkhouse, so whatever needs to be moved out of the way can be hidden in the closet in the main bedroom. There are 2 entry doors: one into the main cabin and another directly into the bathroom, which is a wonderful feature! There is a large outdoor kitchen with a griddle, a fridge/freezer, sink, and small ice maker (Do not depend on that to get you through your camping stay though because it takes forever and only makes a little at a time... It is sufficient to get you through a few drinks until you can get ice from some establishment.) There are three smart TVs, so everyone should be happy with viewing options (provided there is internet). The sound system plays both indoors and/or outdoors and is bluetooth compatible so you can listen to the game or your tunes while enjoying yourselves.
A multitude of outdoor games and seating are also provided. We do have inflatable kayaks, a portable dog gate, and extra tables if you request them. We can also supply a grill or a larger Blackstone flat top if you so desire. We are very pet friendly and love dogs, so feel free to bring them if you want (That also applies to small children ;)).
We have no extra fees other than generators, cleaning and delivery. We will fully set up and tear down, empty the tanks, and remain on-call 24/7 should you have an issue.
We do ask that you are on site for a walk-through at the time of rental (and at the end) to ensure you are comfortable with operation prior to our departure and that there are no damages. This is for your protection as well as ours. We will be more than happy to make arrangements for what times are most convenient to you.

I personally like a combination of activities such as kayakking as dawn is breaking, hiking nearby trails with my dogs in the early part of the day, playing games at camp while making dinner, then relaxing by a fire at night.... while Tom prefers sitting in his chair all day and sleeping ;) We are more than happy to offer suggestions, as we have truly been all over NY and have found several places that appealed to both of us.Other things to noteThis is a DELIVERY ONLY trailer, and we will deliver it wherever you like, so long as we can get in and out. When we were a bit younger and had time, we used to take advantage of little getaways with the kids in our camper. As we got older, the kids grew up, we had less time, less motivation, and a lot less patience. Our little Rockwood (the "OG") was literally a yard ornament. Tom had the idea to start renting her to families, so at least she was getting out there to providing an avenue for them to have their own adventures and create lasting memories.
While we kicked around this idea, we thought about all of the negatives pertaining to the camping experience as a whole, and why we didn't even attempt to take trips anymore. So, we got to brainstorming. We agreed that rather than have anyone else risk their sanity, or safety, we would eliminate as much of the stress that packing, coordinating, traveling, and set-up causes so folks could just enjoy their time together, as it is so precious and limited. Even though our camper was 10+ years old at that time, she was as comfortable as a favorite sweater and still had a lot to offer. After all, it was definitely better than sleeping in tents!
We now have three campers. We aim to provide just about everything (new or seasoned) campers could need based on what we have learned along the way. We do believe we have done a decent job of this, and our renters would definitely agree.

Tom and Ericka are wonderful hosts! We could not be more pleased with this experience. When we arrived at the site, everything was already setup (chairs around the fire and under awning). The camper is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need during your stay. It is immaculately clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this camper!

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing experience we had. When we arrived at the site, the owners were there prepping the camper for our stay. Not only was the camper well kept and clean, but it was well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable camping trip- including Adirondack chairs for around the fire, a grill/flat top, ice maker, lounge chairs for under the awning, and even covers/tablecloths for the picnic table. What an easy experience this was. 10/10 would rent again!!
