Please note that travel on or over the "grapevine" is strictly forbidden (the pass on the 5 freeway between LA and Bakersfield), so if you're traveling the coast, the 101 should be your route of choice. This is a manual (stick shift) vehicle. You must be able to proficiently pilot this vehicle in order to take possession at time or rental, and you should also be familiar with cab-over vehicle handling. Please DO NOT rent the van if you've never driven stick, or if you are out of practice or are unsure of your ability to drive a manual. These are not performance vehicles - they are vintage beach cruisers and must be treated with love & care.Pets are welcome onboard "Dog Patch" (our only van that allows pets), but please note there is no smoking at all (of any kind) inside the van, and that use for festivals and/or Burning Man is not allowed.
