RV rental Abbeville, SC: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

There's no need to leave town if you're looking for a place to park your luxury motorhome rental in Abbeville. Parsons Mountain Lake Campground is located within the Parsons Mountain Recreation Area and makes a great stopover spot for smaller trailers and RVs. You won't find any hookups here, but if you're craving a little fresh air and natural beauty, you'll find both in spades at Parsons Mountain Lake. Sites come with a fire ring and picnic table. If you're already planning a trip to Calhoun Falls State Park, you can drive your RV rental from Abbeville to Calhoun Falls' campgrounds to see what all the fuss is about. You'll find three campgrounds here, two of which offer hookups to water and electricity. Other amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, and pristine restrooms and showers. The best part? All sites, with the exception of a single tent site, are situated right on the lakeshore.

You won't find noisy nightlife or bustling shopping malls in Abbeville, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do in this laid-back locale. Here's a fun fact about Abbeville's history: the town is known as "the birthplace and deathbed of the Confederacy." Abbeville's Burt-Stark Mansion housed the final meeting of the Confederate War Council, effectively ending the Civil War. Legend has it that an exhausted Jefferson Davis admitted defeat to his top generals, uttering, "All is indeed lost." The Burt-Stark Mansion is a stunning example of Southern architecture and features artifacts and antiques from the antebellum era. Don't miss the chance to tour this historic home while you're in town. After you've marveled at the decor on display at the Burt-Stark Mansion, catch a show at Abbeville Opera House. Located in a beautifully constructed building that's more than a century old, Abbeville Opera House rightly earned the title of the Official Rural Drama State Theatre of South Carolina. Local performers from the Upstate, particularly theater majors from Lander University in neighboring Greenwood, take to the opera house stage to dazzle and delight more than 20,000 spectators each year. Whether you're just passing through Abbeville or you're visiting family, you'll want to take the short trip into Anderson to visit a truly unique attraction: Denver Downs Farm. The family has worked these fields since 1869, cultivating everything from cotton to dairy products. This working farm offers kid-friendly fun for the whole family. Corn mazes, fall festivals, war re-enactments - there's always something exciting happening at Denver Downs. Once you've had your fill of Southern hospitality and history, hit the road in your campervan rental from Abbeville and head into nearby Greenwood to refuel the rig and restock supplies before continuing your road trip through the Upstate.
